Felt like it was time to bump this thread. So where are we now on Kyler?

Week 10: 19 of 32, 249, 0TD, 1INT plus 33 rush, 1TD
Week 11: 20 of 30, 214, 1TD, 1INT plus 51 rush, 1TD
Week 12: 27 of 45, 256, 1TD, 0INT, plus 2 rush, 1TD

These are some pretty nice numbers as long as the rushing continues.

More importantly - what are people expecting ARZ to do w/ Kyler at this point? Keep him? Somehow move him? They are still looking good for a top draft slot so a rookie QB is on the table it seems.

That is your likely obstacle to getting both Williams and Harrison. AZ at #2 is in a prime spot to take MHJ well before Chicago gets a chance.

Yeah, Hollywood is a FA, so they likely reset the clock on a rookie deal and get MHJ.

I never doubted Kyler would return and be a T10QB. My grade on him remains super high.

I won't try to guess what AZ will do. If I was in charge, I'd take MHJr, resign Hollywood, and spend the rest of the draft on OL, DL, and DBs, in that order. Besides Kyler, AZ has no one who has to have a big contract. That means they can spend a little to keep Hollywood, who is an excellent WR. Having Hollywood, MHJr and McBride will be a great look for the offense. Add a good free agent RB on a team-friendly contract (hello Gus, AJDillon, or even Swift) and this will suddenly be a very dangerous team in 2024.

I think the only scenario where they move off him is if they get Caleb Williams (which is still very possible). I don't think Drake Maye is enough to do it, though I'm sure it's a conversation at least.

Kyler is a good B+ QB and he'll only be 27 next year. Putting him with MHJ or going Fashanu for the offensive line seems like a dream scenario.

Unfortunately, neither of these teams are getting both CW and MHJ unless there is a major trade that goes down. The mocks of Chicago taking the top 5 players in the draft are hilarious, but clearly not how it works.

In my latest sim the Bears got Caleb, MHJ, Bowers, Nabers and Odunze. Treyveon in round 2.
