He failed to convert a critical 3rd and 1 at one point, and added no value on the last two player of the game (literally didn't even dive for Burrow's last pass and it landed at his feet. I don't even think he is better than Mixon as a receiver so it's not like you're putting in a Ekeler type of RB over Mixon to really keep the defense guessing.
Saw a blurb on Twitter than Perine was in the game on five or six situations where it was third or fourth and short. I'd definitely want Mixon in those critical spots.

I actually though the officiating was really good all game. They let them play, as they should have, but then to just flip it on a dime and start calling every thing you see in the most crucial moment of the game really rubbed me wrong. Some call it a makeup call for the Higgins TD, but how many makeup calls do you get? and right at the end of the game?

Idk, I felt Cincy should have won that game. Though the game overall was really good, halftime show was good, commercials sucked but what's new. The final result just felt very undeserved to me

And to those that ponder the legitimacy of the NFL, an old friend of mine said back in the mid 2000s they said the NFL isn't a sports league, it's an entertainment platform, or something along that effect, and ever since then the average margin of victory had decreased dramatic

Correct - Left knee. It hasn't officially been confirmed yet, but from the look of the play/OBJ's reaction it has to be something serious. Being that he's a FA this offseason as well is a hard pill to swallow for the guy.

That's some great tin foil hat thinking there. A far better explanation is that teams have started adjusting to better statistics and metrics so that parody has increased resulting in a decrease in point differential.

Yeah, it was a missed call in the blind spot of the ref, but the one at the end can't be called. All credibility lost for me. Didn't do anything to impede the route, had good position, he really wasn't holding him, just had a hand on him for feel, and that happens all the time. It was a brutal call to the way it had been called to that point. I couldn't believe it, but not surprised. NFL has had an officiating problem for years and they refuse to fix it and pay for a real full time set up for that, which is a joke considering how much they pull in.
but he did hold him. when they showed the replay at the back you can clearly see he tugged his jersey and pulled kupp around more than he wanted to go. ticky tack sure but that missed call on higgins totally changed the momentum in the game. it could easily have been an interception because ramsey had tight coverage and was looking at the ball coming his way.
I disagree that should have been called. He gave a small push to the chest, and the hand on the back wasn't doing much of anything. I've watched it a bunch of times. Based on how the game was called, that should not have been, not going to change my mind on it. People can disagree, but I feel it was a really bad call that changed the outcome of the game. Bad game made worse.
ah well, you gotta take the good with the bad. henderson was held like crazy the play before and no flag. why don't you complain about that?

bengals have nothing to complain about. their offense did diddly for most of the game and was gifted a 75 yard td play by the refs.

Ozzy Man is awesome. His bit on the woman stealing the baseball from the little girl tossed into the crowd by a player is probably my favourite.

To be fair, Kupp was getting freakin' deeeee-stroyed all game long by the Bengals db's. They were being beyond physical and borderline tackling him on every play, whether he had the ball or not. He never complained once, just got back up and kept doing his thing.

With the way they were playing him, it was only a matter of time that they were going to get called. I think there'll be some All-22 that will pretty plainly show this in the coming days.

Full agreement here. The Tee touchdown was as obvious a PI as you can get. You take that one off the board and Burrow finishes 21/32 for 190 yards and no TD's. In a Superbowl? That ain't it.

And the Bengals play-calling and personnel was absolutely atrocious and nearly as mind-numbing as the Rams... but at least McVay knew to give his best player the ball on 4th-and-1...

How the hell are you going to let Samaje Perine decide your season in a "gotta have it" situation... that's moronic, Mr. Taylor!

Halftime show reviews were about what I'd expected. Now it's the Gen Zers turn to ask " Why do they keep having these old fossils from 25 years ago @ halftime ? "

They need more material to make it happen, but I can't wait to see Silk Sonic perform during the halftime. Anderson Paak plus Bruno Mars is a recipe for success. Cool to see Anderson yesterday as the drummer during Eminem's set. Did anyone else catch that?

I'm calling it now, one day Silk Sonic will get a shot & they'll light it up.

Not one of their hit songs, but you can see the stage presence: https://youtu.be/IQQ-87RSCRM
