Jimmy Johnson had full control over personel during his tenure. Jimmy Johnson is a very close friend of Garrett's, and is kind of a mentor to him. Garrett carried the clipboard behind Aikmen during Johnson's tenure with Dallas as well. There were reports during Garret's offseason hire, that one of his "demands" was full controll over personel.
Dosnt seem to matter until Garrett hires the next QB though, Cowboys are irrelevent with Romo atthe helm. I honestly think MCGee is a better qb than romo, hell Garrett could prolly get his gear on and manage the game better than romo.......
