Mitchell seems risky long term but the value is likely on his side. I would rather gamble on Toney but I am wary of RBs in dynasty anymore...

Love what I’m witnessing from Mitchell and his usage. Give me him.

Broken finger complicates things , it opens the door for Wilson to have a big week and steal carries .

Mitchell easily here. His finger is minor, his usage and fit in that offense is clear. At this time of the season, Rb value is at its highest.

I’d rather roll the dice on Toney. Mitchell looks good for now, but SF RBs are mercurial. Next season there could easily be a new “lead guy”.

If Wilson has a great game, there is an instant timeshare in SF. Give me Toney's upside

There will always be a timeshare on that team. Thankfully for fantasy, it’s always been enough for two.

Rest of season I think it's Mitchell, just because of his locked in roll. However, I don't think he has the build to handle more than 3-4 years of a starter's workload in SF. We have already seen his body yeild to the punishment it is required to take with what Shanahan requires (full speed ahead without regard for your own body).
Toney looks special when he gets the ball. He should have a much longer career. I don't think he becomes as consistent at scoring points this year as Mitchell, but I would bet next year it will be pretty close.
I say if you need a RB and you need the points this year, then go Mitchell. But long-term I think Toney has much more value.
