Alvin Kamara: Confident or Concerned
Starting to gain some hype as he should have been a while ago.
Think a bigger, faster abdullah. Mayock said a borderline first rounder. Scouts inc (ESPN.COM) has him as an 86 grade currently. (henry was an 80 last year in perspective)
I don't know why we aren't talking about this kid as a strong possibility for 1.05 convo. For me he is firmly in the conversation with Mccaffrey, Foreman and others.
Thoughts?

Re: Alvin Kamara
On the sites I read he is being mocked in the late 1st / early 2nd so I assumed there was hype.
Re: Alvin Kamara
I just don't get the hype with him. I'm not sure what I'm not seeing on film. He has a small workload. He is exciting with the ball but he seems more like a edge/space player. Not a between the tackles player. His game against Georgia he gets tackled so easily and violently. I'm probably going to miss out on him.

Re: Alvin Kamara
Yeah the question was why he didn't do more after Hurd left. Workload didn't change much.Jason3123 wrote: ↑Mon Jan 23, 2017 5:20 pm I just don't get the hype with him. I like his upside. Great speed and quickness. Hope he lasts to the end of the 1st.

Re: Alvin Kamara
I had my eye on him as more of a late first/early second for rookie drafts, but with some of the NFL mocks landing him in spots like GB, I figured he may get over hyped.

Re: Alvin Kamara
And let me elaborate. I do like him, but this hype about him going high in the draft and rookie drafts is too rich for me.

Re: Alvin Kamara
I agree in what I've watched from him I don't see why people love him so much. Looks like a souped up Charles simms. Bucky brooks and Jeremiah are really high on him. I just like guys that can go between the tackles. Elijah McGuire looks similar but better reminds me of shady.

I'm impressed by his tape, but I'm still not convinced he is a RB1 in the NFL. Id target him early-mid 2nd.

I agree. I'm not seeing what everyone is talking about with this guy. He looks like a Bishop Sankey player to meJason3123 wrote: ↑Mon Jan 23, 2017 5:20 pm I just don't get the hype with him. Re: Alvin Kamara
Saying he is a bigger/faster Abdullah is pretty silly, I think. Abdullah has 2 separate years with more rushing yards than Kamara had in his entire college career, and another that is almost even with Kamara's career rushing stats. Also, I will be pretty surprised if he matches Abdullah's workout numbers in the drills outside of 40 at 215 lbs.
Dynasty player since 2002.
I probably should have done something more productive with that time...

Alvin Kamara
This rotoworld mock draft has him going 10th(!) to the Bills:
http://www.rotoworld.com/articles/cfb/7 ... -draft-iii
If he does go in the 1st round in the NFL draft, where does he go in dynasty rookie drafts? I have a hard time seeing him go top 10 in the NFL draft, but later in the 1st seems plausible.

What are your guys thoughts on Kamara? I haven't watched much tape of him, but he obviously had a pretty decent combine. I'd love to hear any thoughts from those of you who have watched him more than I have.10. Buffalo Bills - RB Alvin Kamara, Tennessee - Surprise. The NFL likes Kamara more than those of us on the outside. The running game will be critical for the Bills success, as it was last season. I love LeSean McCoy. Love. But some have suggested he is an awkward fit in the new running scheme.
