If you believe he's slowing down, this is your theoretical last chance to cash in. But, I think Julio is going to be a prime buy-low this offseason and bounce back with bigger numbers in 2018.onetwothree wrote: ↑Thu Nov 23, 2017 11:42 am It's certainly fair to wonder if he's starting to slow down a bit. Even the numbers you have him on pace for would be his lowest in 4 seasons.
Obviously going from being a top 3 WR to top 10 WR doesn't mean he sucks but there's a point where his reputation is higher than his actual production. He's WR15 in most leagues.

Re: Julio jones
It's almost like Julio is still really good or something.
Re: Julio jones
Wow, while both sides made decent arguments, some of the better pro Julio posts seem particularly prescient.

Glad I stuck with him, almost benched him last minute for Alshon or Fournette.

Doesn't Julio seem to do this every year? Mediocre for months at a time then boom...blows up for 40 points.
Re: Julio jones
When it comes to fantasy points, before this game, Full-PPR Julio was averaging what? 12 points a game? 8 points a game for Non-PPR. For a Godsend WR1, isn't that pretty mediocre?

Re: Julio jones
I owned Julio the past 2 years and I know what you mean. He's not outright winning you many games is what you mean.
Re: Julio jones
Averages are not winning you games or leagues, single game performances do.
But yeah - being 4th in receiving yards is mediocre.
Not going to continue the repetitious argument. Consistent high performing WRs are basically a myth. One of the most misunderstood premises in fantasy.

Re: Julio jones
Agreed. I'm so tired of hearing the argument about players being inconsistent. Aside from maybe Antonio Brown, no player in fantasy literally puts up the same amount of points every game. If they did, fantasy wouldn't be nearly as challenging. Every player is a product of their highs and lows. The fact that Julio Jones is capable of performances like this is why he's ridiculously valuable in dynasty.Phaded wrote: ↑Sun Nov 26, 2017 2:00 pm Averages are not winning you games or leagues, single game performances do.

Good to see Atlanta feeding him some targets. I hope they keep him going for the stretch playoff run.
