Im even 50/50 on whether I would even sell for a 3rd haha

Probably holding because he was one of my guys, I thought he checked all the boxes. Terrible start and not expecting nearly as much as before, but a 3rd gets me an even worse dart throw...

#1 WR recruit, put up #s as the third option with Burrow, then a Covid year, and finally a bad Carolina team and staff that didn’t play him.

The talent is there - was it all horrible situation or immaturity/work ethic/etc.?
Traded up into late 2nd to get him. Thought my league let him fall way too far lol

Anyways, I want to say bad work ethic/immaturity if he wasn't even seeing gameday
Saw this posted somewhere - https://www.panthers.com/news/terrace-m ... arger-role
Mostly a fluff piece but this quote from Joe Dailey, the Panthers WR coach, stands out when considering is his benching was attitude related

"That makes things a lot easier for me when you've got a young man who is fully committed to becoming the best version of himself because then he's super vulnerable and available," Dailey said. "He's the type of young man that wants to embrace the feedback. He wants all the feedback he can get so he can put it into execution. You appreciate that about a guy like himself because those guys – there aren't a lot of them."

Rhule maybe put him in the doghouse due to his nagging injuries that kept him off the field too often. Hoping this kid stays healthy so we can see more

LOL nailed it

FWIW, I don't think the Panthers are going to walk into the season with Marshall as their WR1. They'll probably bring in a solid FA or perhaps trade for Sutton.

I thankfully picked him up off waivers last year in October. I also picked up Jordan Love as well. I am smiling now grinning ear to ear with both.

I see Marshall evolving into the #1 WR now in Carolina with that caoching staff. I also want Stroud to be drafted by them. I also have Shenault whom i also picked up off waivers last year as well. So i have control of Carolina top 2 WRs currently.

If I can get 75 catches 1200 yards and 7 TDs from Marshall this year that will be great. I have DK Metcalf SEA, Mike Williams LAC, Tee Higgins CIN as my top 3 WRs.

So…This is a gloat post? One that gets blown up when the Panthers draft a Wr in the 2nd?

Look I own Marshall too, but I’m not going to rely upon him nor expect those numbers.

They’ll bring in their own WRs and TM will average two catches a game like he did this year. I have TM worth early 4.

They can bring in all they want but if the dude has talent and needed opportunity then he will shine. Also this head coach and his down field play action passing philosophy fits Marshall style. Marshall has an X receiver body and skill set. He will do well in this offense and there are many free agent Wrs out there and the rookie group lacks this year so he will be given every opportunity to succeed.

Panthers still have:

Second-rounder (No. 39 overall)
Third-rounder (No. 93 overall)
Fourth-rounder (No. 114 overall)
Fourth-rounder (No. 132 overall)
Fifth-rounder (No. 145 overall)

They could easily go WR in Round 2 or 3. Also wonder if they're going to go after Meyers or Juju.

Still, have to like Marshall's chances with a QB upgrade, more volume and how much better he looked last season.

Add to the fact that he was one of the covid suffer-ers (in terms of growth stunted) and had a massive QB downgrade (losing Burrow) there are reasons to be hopeful. Former 5star and #1 ranked WR.

But, I'm sure the list of WRs that have panned out with his production thus far is not hopeful.

all joking aside from my previous post, i feel like this could finally be his real opportunity. Matt Rhule had him in the doghouse forever, and injuries nagged him, plus the suspect QB play there for the last 2 seasons. I don't know if he has the ability to be a #1 WR on a team so holding off crowning him there. But is it reasonable to think he could get to, say, 70-900-8? those numbers are good enough for a roster spot on my team

You do realize he was getting a 90% snap share for a significant part of the season and a 76% snap share on the season, right? I think 700-900 yards with a rookie QB is probably a more reasonable target.
