Headed to the locker room after being evaluated in the medical tent. Haven't heard anything else yet.

Initial X rays came back negative (ribs). There is a doctor pointing out that rib fractures often don't show up on initial x rays. Sorry BB, I had to add that in.

I was hoping Coop was going to be like Holt. Coop has had a good career, but disappointing at the same time, from what he was thought to be, at his ceiling.Kurt G.O.A.T. wrote: ↑Mon Aug 14, 2023 4:09 pm https://twitter.com/KeithBritton86/stat ... 92864?s=20

I don't think Moore has been bad this year. Probably the best route running season he's had, but it hasn't led to any big games.

Yea, his separation stats are actually great. I was reading some Browns fans calling it a QB problem.

the browns with a QB problem? well i never!

Haha in fairness Watson was improving. He just didn't seem to throw the ball Moore's way.

These seem like good stats:Peener wrote: ↑Mon Nov 20, 2023 1:35 am Yea, his separation stats are actually great. I was reading some Browns fans calling it a QB problem.

I think this is probably another season where a ton won't happen for Moore because of the QB situation (unless DTR really takes off), but his next gen stuff is still there. If I'm a team outside of the playoffs, Moore is a guy I target from a contender in exchange for a consistent older player with an eye toward next year.Moore ranks 3rd in average separation (per Next Gen Stats) among receivers and 6th among all players

He has the 8th best Open Score in the league right now. I do think that at this point, it's looking unlikely that he can live up to his upside and put up T-24 production. He may be heading towards a more Curtis Samuel trajectory or a mostly slot type of role.Peener wrote: ↑Mon Nov 20, 2023 1:35 am Yea, his separation stats are actually great. That said, he's played three years with below average QB play. He's been unlucky in that regard, considering Watson should've represented a significant upgrade for him this year.

Just asking a question here based on above posts. If Moore has good separation analytics…the 3rd of WRs and 6th overall is interesting. That tells me 3 of the best 6 “separators” aren’t even WRs? Seems hard (for me personally) to take that specific stat alone seriously.
I wonder if he ranks so high because all his depth stats are low. It seems not hard to have more separation on bubble screens, targets out of the backfield, etc. But maybe I’m not the most informed on how those stats really work.

According to Open Score, he's tied for 8th with Mark Andrews. Everyone else ahead is a WR. The next TE is Kelce at 16.frerichs5 wrote: ↑Mon Nov 20, 2023 10:45 am Just asking a question here based on above posts. I have not watched much Browns games lately, but at the beginning of the season Moore was getting open but just couldn't make any plays. He couldn't hang onto the ball, he couldn't adjust in time, just couldn't make plays. And he was the same way with the Jets too. Not saying he NEVER made plays, but many times he had opportunities and he didn't make them. You can go watch "every Zach Wilson throw" game 1 of his rookie season, and Moore had so many drops or missed plays.

Re: Elijah Moore is Arguably the Most Reliable WR in the 2021 Draft
I recently traded Deebo for an early 2024 2nd and Moore (wanted to get out before he got too old and/or hurt... and did it right before his injury). Moore seemed like a safe floor type of player good for a few catches a game... and it is unfortunate because Watson had been horrible and now Moore's stuck with a rookie for the rest of the year.
He's got one more year on his contract before he becomes a free agent... I wouldn't be surprised if he suffers through another year in Cleveland and then has a Christian Kirk type renaissance if he goes somewhere else. Unless Watson SIGNIFICANTLY improves after coming back from a shoulder surgery or he finds his way out of Cleveland I think Moore's one of those receivers who may never reach his full potential.
And unfortunately fantasy rosters are littered with those type players...
