I got him about a week or two ago in a larger deal instead of an early to mid 2nd. And this is from a guy who drafted him and refused to trade him to me for the past several years regardless of price.
Re: Unpopular Opinion: You will waste your premium 1st round pick on Kyle Pitts.
I would pay a mid 2nd for him on any team. moving into late 1st/early 2nd is getting tougher to decide - so for me the value is in most situations a late 1st, still.
His rookie season still carries a lot of weight.

I'd take Pitts all day over London. Pitts has a top 5 season at his position. He has the ability, to be a true difference maker at the position. There are so many good WR's, I don't believe London does.

I value it the other way. In TEP, even moreso. London has not been a difference maker through almost 2 years at his position, and I don't think he ever will be. Pitts was as a rookie, and I think he will again.Anteaters wrote: ↑Fri Dec 08, 2023 7:12 amI'm not sure who carries more value, but personally I value London 2x Pitts.tstafford wrote: ↑Fri Dec 08, 2023 2:57 amIs this the going price? London is a low end WR 4 right now. Pitts is still a high end TE2. There's a lot less Pitts has to do, to be a difference maker, due to position, at this point. To each their own, though.

Not if you're willing to hold. Trade value only matters if you want to trade a guy. Like it was said, Pitts could have a Hock like career arc. In fact, I think it's likely. Just hold, and wait it out. I think this is a valley, not a peak. I'm trying to get Pitts everywhere, with the growing skepticism.RheinlandChief wrote: ↑Fri Dec 08, 2023 8:01 amSadly so, yes. Great buy low. Previous high draft pick, obvious talent, decent production early, stuck in a bad situation. Situation will change at some point. Either he gets a new QB, or a new coach, or he eventually gets moved. Seems like a pretty low risk investment to me at current prices.FantasyFreak wrote: ↑Fri Dec 08, 2023 8:07 amNot if you're willing to hold. Trade value only matters if you want to trade a guy. I don't think the question is whether or not Pitts is a good buy low player. There are a lot of players worth buying low. An argument could be made that almost every player has a good "buy low" price. I think that term is almost overused.
The question is whether or not Pitts is a good buy relatively high player. Another good question is 1:1 scenarios. Like..

Re: Unpopular Opinion: You will waste your premium 1st round pick on Kyle Pitts.
Basically, I'm not giving up a premium pick for him, but you start getting into the late 1st early 2nd and thats where he becomes worth a look. That's the definition of buying low. A guy who was worth significantly more and the value has dropped to the point where it is now an acceptable gamble that he will increase in value.Anteaters wrote: ↑Fri Dec 08, 2023 11:03 am I don't think the question is whether or not Pitts is a good buy low player. I just paid an early to mid 2nd for him, so that's where I peg his value at. I'd take 2.01+Chig over Pitts. I think Chig and Pitts are probably pretty close (they are far apart on KTC but i don't think they should be), and the 2.01 in SF TEP is no joke.CGW wrote: ↑Fri Dec 08, 2023 11:34 amBasically, I'm not giving up a premium pick for him, but you start getting into the late 1st early 2nd and thats where he becomes worth a look.
