Just from the eye test, Pollard looks like the better RB...Zeke just doesn't have that "pop" like he used to.

Where are ppl on Zeke in dynasty now?
Trying to figure out how to offload him at this point and get a decent return. I had thought of playing the "Patriot Philosophy" with him this offseason (Better to sell a year too early than a year too late), but didn't and now regret it mightily.

Pollard looks better. McCarthy's scheme doesn't help Zeke at ALL. AND, Pollard is a better fit with what McCarthy wants to do. It isn't that I don't believe Zeke can perform if given the volume. It is that he will not get the volume unless something were to happen to Pollard. I am with the group hoping for a good week or two where he looks his old self so I can wash my hands of him, but not holding my breath.

Potential offer I was thinking of making now and wondered what people think: Offer Zeke for Cam Akers... Or is this just pure hail mary desperation on my part?

A contender ought to go for that. I'm skeptical of Akers return myself, but it's not outrageous.

Not a big fan of the zeke for Akers idea. Just wait until the right RB gets injured and make an offer. Its early in the season, and already there's a shortage of RBs.

Zeke played well and Pollard showed more burst and I think we all seen that but Zeke still played well. The Cowboys paid Zeke. He is not going anywhere at worse it's a split committee and they eat into each other's production but that can be said for a lot of teams. This could be keeping Zeke fresh too. I don't see this as the doomsday situation many seem to be implying. Zeke is still a #1 back. I'm not selling at a discount and you should not. If you want out and someone would pay good value then by all means but it's not a desperation situation.

I saw Dobbins and a 1st traded for Zeke in a superflex/TE premium. Awful deal that I really dislike.

Okay, so I unloaded Zeke... Here is the deal I got. 1/2 pt PPR, 6 pts all TDs, 12 team league.

Gave: Zeke, S Watkins, 2022 4th round

Got: T Higgins, 2022 2nd round, 2023 1st round

I'm happy with it. I figure with Zeke, his 2022 draft position will be bottom half, but project by 2023 he'll be more top half which is why I deferred the 1st...

I'm not saying it will happen to Zeke, but I don't see why people still believe this kind of thing matters when we've seen time and time again that a big contract absolutely does not matter. If the Rams can ditch Gurley a year after signing him to that monster deal (not to mention the countless others), the Cowboys could find a way ditch Zeke if they wanted to.

The top 10 highest paid RBs in 2019 were...

1) Zeke
2) Gurley
3) Le'Veon
4) David Johnson
5) Freeman
6) Saquon
7) McKinnon
8) Fournette
9) Lamar Miller
10) Duke Johnson

Only 2 of those 10 RBs were with the same team a year later.
12 Team FFPC TE Premium
QB: Herbert, Brady
RB: Barkley, Mixon, Jav Williams, Pierce, Drake
WR: Jefferson, AJ Brown, Metcalf, Hopkins, Peoples-Jones
TE: Kittle, Goedert

They absolutely could release him, but why would they. He's still a good runner, pass catcher, and fantastic pass blocker. Most of the names listed above were shells of their previous selves at that point.

I'm in the sell camp, but don't see much reason for Dallas to let him go anytime soon if he continues to produce.

Zeah, Pollard isn't going to be the same as a lead back. He's great in the role he plays. Zeke is definitely a good NFL back and this offense is better with him.

I agree that Pollard probably wouldn't be that great in a lead back role. That said, I liked Ekeler a lot but didn't know if he would ever fit as the lead back. Clearly that didn't matter and he's been great for fantasy owners. Pollard wouldn't have to fit the traditional RB mold to be successful necessarily.

Regardless, what Dallas has right now is working. Thunder and lightning somewhat. Zeke is not 2018 Zeke, which is fine because he's still a good running back.
