Ridley has 28 TD's in 49 Games; 248 Receptions. 5.06 per game
Moore has 21 TD's in 80 Games; 364 Receptions. 4.55 per game

Lawrence is a far more skilled passer and Ridley has always been good in the Red Zone. Obviously, he has been away; At 28 he still should have several years of production left.

Moore is 2.5 years younger but the career production value is on Ridley's side which is an offset.

There is higher risk with Ridley but his upside looks higher given his QB and team are better.
"Hmmmm. Why would Ice make a straw-man case using TD's and receptions as production without including the yardage? He knows TD's aren't sticky year-on-year..."

DJM - 364 rec for 5201 yards, 14.3 yards p/r - 80 games
CRid - 248 rec for 3342 yards, 13.5 yards p/r - 49 games

I'll just rewrite the bolded for you: Moore is 2.5 years younger with far greater availability and career production to date, but this COULD be Ridley's year given that T-Law -> Fields as a thrower, and quite easily.

I'm still taking DJM long term in Dynasty, but agree that this is the year to own Ridley in redrafts.
Wasn't Ridley like 24 as a rookie and Moore was 20 or 21?
Yup. Always takes me a minute to remember they were in the same class

Looks like it was a mistake giving up on DJM but I just had to. He was driving me nuts having him on my team. Never felt good starting him and it just didn't seem to get better.

Him having one of the worst passers in the league as his QB didn't seem like much of a solution, but what do I know...

Eagles had almost the same about of rushing attempts in 2022, that didn't stop AJB and Devonta Smith from excelling...
The Eagles had 45% more pass attempts than the Bears. 344 to 501. Having a better offense, defense, and QB means more total plays.
And your point is?

Josh Allen has a nearly 40% rise in pass attempts the year he got Stefon Diggs...
Hurts had a nearly 15% rise in pass attempts the year he got AJB...

Fields averaging 150 passing yards per game isn't something to get excited about.

I have serious concerns for leagues I have DJM in.
Agreed.
Don’t own DJ Moore anywhere. He is a good but overrated player IMO.

Don’t think this helps but nothing wrong with Moore fans hoping for steady improvement

Honestly I don't think that's a terrible deal. I'd be surprised if he jumps much past Hock this week even on the notoriously reactionary KTC.

Was pondering to start him over G. Wilson
3x teams in 32-team standard PPR + IDP leagues

It doesn't matter what we want. Once we get it, we want something else.

DJM was always going to get his. He's actually been a very consistent WR2 around 1200 yards and 4TDs. He's on pace for more than that, which is great after his brutal start to the year.

If we see this Justin Fields the rest of the season there's a good chance DJM has his career year. Do many people really think we saw the real Justin Fields last night though? Call me skeptical, but I'm ready for a couple more 100yard passing games.

Still need to see it vs good teams. He's beating up on bad teams and honestly DJM has been a savior for him. As has getting Claypool off the field lol finally Chicago makes a good personnel decision. If only they didnt spend that 1st on him

Back to DJM, this is how I thought he would help Fields (not to the extent of 200/3TD, he's due for regression). Using his YAC ability, good route running and hands. He is getting open consistently and making things easy for Fields. Next 3 games Vikings, Raiders, Chargers, so I expect this to continue to a degree. He's a solid WR. Bad WR don't put up 1k yards year in and year out on bad offenses.

I still am going to be nervous starting DJM against stiffer defenses. If Fields gets pressure, he crumbles. If his 1st read is covered up, can he get through his progressions? Have to think defenses will try and scheme to slow down DJM, because the Bears do not have much after him. Mooney and the TE are ok depth pieces, but not sure they can elevate to be a 2nd weapon in this offense.

Their rest of season schedule is pretty good.

Vikings
Raiders
Chargers
Saints
Panthers
Lions
Vikings
Lions
Browns
Cardinals
Falcons
Packers

Maybe the Saints and Browns I consider tough defenses. The rest, probably not at this point. I could see a scenario of Fields & DJM doing well the rest of the season. But agree with the above post, I’m sure defenses will start to scheme Moore a lot more until they prove they can go to other options.

Agreed. I was looking for some tougher schedule stretch, but not too much scares me here

The bolded are the defensive tests. The lions will be especially tough with their pass rush. The Falcons probably won't be a cupcake either. Actually, for the Bears there are no cupcakes. They just got beat by the Broncos last week.
