WR moves

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

WR moves

Postby dblj1199 » Mon Jul 13, 2020 8:21 am

I have a owner that is interested in Cooper, he has Dak and he'd be stacking them up. We tossed around a few offers before, but nothing too serious. I was thinking of offering up a deal to land his Chark and DK. I know Chark had a good season, but can Minshew produce and will the organization waste his talents? I haven't seen DK play, he has Wilson, can he grow into a legit wr1?
I'd add something, obviously, to my side, but what are peoples thought on these two? Thanks.

I'm not as high on Chark as others. I'd want a better piece than him on top of DK to move Cooper here myself.

It would take more than Chark for me to move Cooper. DK is a good starting point to me, but I would want a better piece to pair with him moving forward. Piling on here. Cooper side for me.

If you're set on getting rid of cooper to the interested owner, I would look to his RB stable first. With your roster and starting reqts I would be trying to upgrade my mandatory RB2 spot from Hunt/Kerryon/Mostert to someone more like Chubb/Henry/etc. and have those others as flex. Maybe could pair one of those three with cooper to move to a more elite aspect at RB. That way you can have OBJ/AJB/Arob as starting three WR and choice of AJG/Hilton/Parker/Hunt/Mostert/Kerryon in the flex.

Why? Has a sparkling athletic profile, 2nd round draft capital, passing volume and now the production

The Jaguars suck but I don't see any reason that a player considered to be a high upside project as a prospect hit a ceiling with Foles and Minshew at QB in his 2nd year as a pro

Chark and DK are 2 guys I've been after this offseason. I'd easily take those 2 for Cooper. I'd give up a little more to make that happen.

If you can get those 2 it would definitely be worth it. Chark profiles out to be like AJ Green and Metcalf is your prototypical WR who had 900 yards in his rookie year. I'd say there's a very high probability one of these guys is overall better long term than Cooper heads up. Cooper was pretty much passed on the depth chart by Gallup last season and they added Lamb. I would sell him for his name value and get a return like this would be amazing.

I'm sorry but in what world did Gallup pass Cooper? I get the knocks about occasionally disappearing but Gallup was measurably inferior to Cooper. If anything Lamb helps Cooper be less of a focus by defense something Gallup fails to do.
