Cooper Kupp - Value Up?

What's the thoughts on Kupp's future? Are looking at the buy window being open or the sell window that's closed shut? Rams seem to be a mess that doesn't have many picks to help steer the course for next year. Baker is the QB. I'm having a hard time seeing which way the needle is with Kupp's outlook.

I actually was quite fortunate as I traded Kupp away just days before his injury for a mid and a late 23 1st.
While my team still has a shot to make the playoffs, I realistically had no chance to beat either of the top 2 teams.
So I sold Kupp, and move on.

I have no intention of shopping for Kupp in any of my other leagues, as it is too high risk, IMO.
His combination of injury, age, QB questions will keep me out of the market.

Only other player I know that needed surgery for a high ankle sprain was MT, and I don't want to go down that road again.
Add in the fact that he will be 30 next year, and Stafford may not be his QB, and I'm out.
Fun while it lasted, time to move on for me.

He's still a WR1 until further notice. His floor is just so absurdly high and his volume only compares to a few players in the league. As long as Stafford and McVay are back, I really have no doubts about his production.

If someone is willing to pay how current value I would move him unless your a top 4 team. We seen how Baker crashed OBJ. That along with Kupp's age and question marks about Stafford he's an easy sell.

Agree completely. I'd sell if the valuation is at elite WR1 levels. There's too much uncertainty to hold.

That said, I'm not out entirely. If a prospect plus 2nd gets Kupp, I'm there. Price reinforcement is a thing.

I was kind of surprised when looking at him recently that he’s only hit 1000 yards 2/7 years in career. A lot of that has to due with injuries of course.

3 of 7 seasons he’s played 12 games or less.
4 of 7 seasons 15 games or more.

Looks like 2023 was his 2nd worst PPG season of his career after his rookie season.

I suppose the easy answer is a 1st for a contender, and then just play him when you have him? Would there be other “older vets” you’d look to buy first before settling on Kupp if you were looking to add a WR to a contending team?

Im not sure if Cameron is an actual Doctor but if not he should play on on TV. seriously this makes sense

Kupp was a fun burst of stud while he lasted, but I think the ride is over for him. Injuries were part of his short reign, but another reason is he was a late bloomer in the NFL. Generally, we think a stud WR will deliver five or seven high quality seasons. Kupp's late emergence was always going to limit his longevity as a stud player. Not to mention that Kupp did not find his QB soulmate until his age 27 season.

I'll take Kupp at a bargain basement price, but I want almost any other aging star WR besides OBJ. I'll take Staff's list, as well as Thielen, Cooks, and maybe even Boyd if he ends up somewhere where he can be a team's WR2.

Kupp looked cooked in 2023 and I think the bottom will fall out of his production in 2024. As Cameron said, the types of injuries Kupp is suffering lately is more concerning than the frequency of injuries.
