Honestly this kind of interests me. McDonald has been a “breakout candidate” since he was with SF but that never really materialized. He has certainly shown flashes, and that stiff arm was beast (you guys know which highlight I’m talking about). But he just hasn’t been consistent.

Ebron isn’t the example of consistency either but has had 4 years of over 500 yards and had the double digit TD year with Luck.

I do agree that if PIT uses both of them, then neither will be relevant. But I could see them moving on from McDonald (and for some reason thought that they did this offseason). Just a hunch based on nothing more than a feeling. If Ebron is the top dog, then I could see him flirting with 750 and 6-8TDs. Just a hope.
I read that McDonald agreed to restructure his contract, so he more than likely would’ve been cut. I don’t know how it will play out, but I won’t be surprised if Ebron beats him out.

Not a premium subscriber but these links look interesting- https://www.pff.com/news/nfl-early-winn ... ree-agency

"I’m going to keep this one short and sweet since I know running back talk is everyone’s favorite topic, but there is enough data at this point to comfortably suggest that paying big money for a running back is never a good idea, as broken down in several recent pieces from PFF that can be found here and here."

Nobody’s talking about Miles Sanders as a silent winner of the offseason, but after Howard leaving, 2nd Round draft capital, and a 1000 scrimmage yard season it looks like they won’t bring a highly drafted RB either. Yeah Miles Sanders should be a high end RB 2 with potential for repeating low-end RB1 Numbers again like last year.
I may or may not be related to Bryan Edwards

Yeah I'd like to think he could at least match his season totals from last year, Jordan Howard is better then given credit by most including myself and it's unlikely they bring in anyone at his level. Most likely draft a late rnd RB to use with Sanders and Scott in a rotation with Sanders leading it.

Strange signing, bring in a field stretcher for a guy who won't throw long.

It's tough to declare any RB a winner until after the NFL draft. At least they haven't shown interest in FA's though. A guy like Singletary is someone I'd be worried about. The Bills tried for Gordon, and you have to think they add a bigger bell cow type back for the type of team they want to be. Ground and pound and play D, and use Allen's arm and mobility to take shots down the field. Singletary would be a guy I'd be trying to move, if I had him. I expect the Eagles to add a power back of some sort, to handle short yardage and goal line duties, but Sanders was a mid 2nd rounder, so I think he's the leader of a committee approach in Philly. Just hope they continue to use him a lot in the passing game. I think he would work best as a Kamara type player. Less carries, more receptions.
