I think people are missing the OP's point. Cam isn't a great QB and probably never was, but he'll still most likely get the starting job back from Kyle Allen once he's healthy.

I'd certainly agree with all of that. Don't think Cam is great, but also don't believe that Allen has done anything to doom him to the Bledsoe treatment either once he's healthy.

SF's defense has shown it's damn good, but Kyle Allen can't have utter meltdown games like that if he's vying to keep this job.

I mean Goff just threw for 78 yards vs them as well.

There is a lot of projecting going on right now over Cam's attitude. It's a tough call to be sure. Maybe he is in pain and that's what the I dont give a darn attitude he was showing. I don't want to overpay but in a SF there is still some appeal here as a buy low. Not sure what buy low is at this point. Maybe early 2nd? After the rookie QB starters and before the backups?

I really don't know what to think, it just feels like the thread is slightly heavy with speculation over a person's attitude(which is not something we really know) ((unless it's Jay Cutler, lol))

Cam's foot is not getting better and he's meeting with a foot specialist today to try and figure out why. Returning to football is "a long way off".

While I still do not think Kyle Allen is in the way of Cam Newton being a starting QB - this news is definitely concerning as it makes his situation more comparable to Andrew Lucks (injury shortened).

I'm not big on AJG or Cam at this point in their careers, but I like that swap for you, especially in a SF.

Been saying he's done this year. I think his play style was too conducive to an inevitably short career.

I think people are underestimating Cam, what a great buy low. He will get healthy and return. He is an elite QB and is a former MVP. This is a great article to remind everyone of who he is.
