I dont think Adams play regresses all that much. Carr is a pretty good QB who hasnt had much to throw to until now. He is also going to be a target monster still. Its a definite downgrade but could be worse.

This excites me for the fact that GB is more likely to draft a WR now, that should only help this classes low draft hype. Burks would be a lot of fun to see there but Garret Wilson would be the smartest choice imo, both could be gone by then though so who knows.

Looks like I was dead wrong on this hot take. Packers offered MORE than the Raiders.

Yup this was just about Adams wanting to check off a couple boxes (playing for raiders and playing with Carr again). It really did seem like there was a lot of animosity and I'm sure Packers were pissed that he would turn them down, but given everything Packers got a very good return (1st & 2nd) for him and didn't need to give him a 5 year 30M/year deal.

Probably are a little annoyed they couldn't get theoce done sooner to be able to go after a couple of the FA.

You'd think that this would be the year Packers spend a first rounder on a wr.

Everyone knows the cap is just an imaginary number. Until I see the cap drop several years in a row, it wont matter. Teams know they can twist contracts around and kick the can while the cap continually rises.

So do the Packers now have pick #22 and pick #28 in Round 1?

Bold Move!

Keep thinking Adams probably viewed Rodgers and GB as a bit more unstable situation. Rodgers threatens retirement and has been a bit higher on the wired meter the last few years.

GB had plenty of chances to deal with Adams and chose not to until it was too late.

The AFC West is going to be a blast to watch. One of those teams are going to dethrone KC this year is my bet.

Raider Fan is probably really hung over this morning.

Bold prediction of the day, Aaron Rodgers is going to stink this year. He is not going to have a WR on the team that he trusts to be where he expects them to be. I think there is a case to be made Adams lifted Rodgers, not the other way around

Landry/Crowder could be useful signings at this point. They'll probably draft a WR this year and sign a veteran WR soon. I don't believe Rodgers is going to stink. When Adams was injured the Packers excelled in his absence.

They'll lean on the run more. Aaron Jones will be used fully in what I suspect will be his last year in GB due to his contract situation next year.

You gotta be kidding with the Adams elevating comment. Rodgers has been elite long before Adams.

Ironic it's generally thought that Rodgers elevates average WRs to be good ones, and good ones to be great.

Average-to-Good - Prime example: James Jones.

Good-to-Great - Another one of Rodgers protege wideouts who also went to the Raiders: Jordy Nelson. Who didn't do so great his last year there.

Also: Greg Jennings. Fantastic in GB. Not so great in MIN.

We'll see who elevated who when Davante gets to LV. I think he'll still be a Top 10 WR, but he won't sniff what he did in GB.
