Dak is a guy you plug in at QB when your focus is everywhere else and you picked him up dirt cheap. In 1 QB leagues, there are maybe 5 guys who reign supreme? Rodgers, Wilson, Cam, Wentz, Brees. After that? It’s a coin flip for the next 10 on who will perform but Dak has both a limited floor and ceiling, making him a safe bet.

I’ll likely be dropping Jameis this year and keeping Dak as my only QB due to his reliability.

Brees PPG was QB10 the second half of last year and QB13 this year. He's certainly not an elite FF QB anymore.

And I certainly wouldn't stick Wentz in that "reign supreme" category, did he have a great year before injury?

Yes; but many of the other young quarterbacks had a great year before seeing a lack of progression shortly after - even Dak, who this thread is about. Plus, the same team still looked damn good with Nick Foles.

Is Wentz a very good young QB? Absolutely, but he does not belong in the same breath as guys like Rodgers & Wilson.

Dak turns down 30M per year, wants 40M?? If true, time to let him walk

I have been a big Dak supporter and think he is a capable Qb but come on. If he really turned that much money down and is wanting 40M per, that’s just ridiculous. He is nowhere near that stratosphere. I feel like even 30M was overpaying but a necessary evil. 40M just makes me laugh. Sounds like the strategy of paying all 3 is out the window.

Ooof. I think I know who is getting franchised. He does not deserve 40 million.

This was all per Jane Slater.

Totally agree. Welcome to the franchise tag Dak. Lol

Zeke is going to holdout for multiple years, dak will be outright released and replaced with carr after the raiders cut him the day after amari signs his extension. Amari is sad.

I don't even think he's worth 30 million. That's top 5 money (so I heard).

Guy is asking for the moon.

I highly doubt he's actually asking for $40m. If so, he is being completely unrealistic and has no concept of his value.

Earlier this month (maybe last month) Prescott was interviewed saying that he believes he (and Zeke/Amari) deserve top-five money because contracts continue to inflate at a rapid rate. Seems like yesterday that Stafford was the highest-paid QB at $27m. He has a fair point there, but I don't think there's a chance that the Cowboys agree.

As a Ravens fan I accept that we had to pay Flacco after he won the SB, but I still begrudged it some. Dak hasn't done close to enough for this. He's never had 25 touchdowns, 25! Sorry but I'm not paying you 1.73 million per touchdown you throw. Buh bye.

There has been lots of talk (on here and elsewhere) about someone trading their QB instead of paying them and drafting a new one. If Dak is firm in that 40 million price tag we may all get a look at that strategy soon.

Now Dak’s representatives apparently shooting down this is the case. Interesting.

I doubt this is true - these reports rarely are.
