(Rotoworld) FS1 analyst Cris Carter claims to have inside information on a looming Ezekiel Elliott suspension.

Analysis: Appearing opposite #take-kingpin Skip Bayless, ex-ESPN analyst Carter said "in the next 48 hours I would be shocked if Zeke was not suspended." He went on to add "based on the information that's going to come out, it's going to be fairly easy to determine that something happened to this woman in her four days of being with Zeke." The NFL quickly denied Carter's "report." To date, no one has had a good grip on what the NFL is going to do with the Elliott situation. We're guessing Carter isn't going to be the one to break the story.

Why would you 'jump ship' over a 2 or 4 game suspension or whatever, unless it's redraft? In dynasty, a short suspension won't even be enough to create a buy-low window. Not after what he did for owners last season.

FYI Schefter is saying league announcement on Zeke suspension could come this week, so make whatever moves you think is right prior to then *cough* trade for McFadden cheapish *cough*

I am thinking don't bother unless it is really cheap (4th absolute max).
Dallas 1st 4 games: NYG, @DEN, @ARI, LAR. Kind of a tough run, although the Rams and Broncos were easier for RBs last year than years past. Unless there is some clear indication that McFadden/Morris will get the bulk of work week 1, I probably wouldn't start either until at least week 3 or 4 where I have Zeke. Even if Zeke gets a 4 game suspension, that barely seems worth the roster spot.

Harsh. League has to feel pretty confident with the info they have (not that that has ever stopped them). They must think that fans are more likely to agree with a long suspension for domestic violence than weed or PSI.

I don't see why he wouldn't. He would have nothing to lose by appealing, even if whatever they have on him is iron clad.

End up missing games late in the season (or playoffs) versus at the beginning of the season?

Who knows how long the NFL wants to drag it out even further.

I haven't seen it from a credible source, but a few guys in my leagues have said that the appeal process would take around 10 days, and I did see he has 3 days to decide to appeal or not. Most likely he will? And 3 + 10 equals 13, I think? So this should be concluded before the preseason wraps up.

That sounds scary. The Zeke owner has been hounding me for Julio in our non ppr league and I was thinking this might be the time to humor him with a Julio offer. That word banished makes me hesitant though.

I'm also thinking about making an offer for him, but terrified by the banishment talk..... Given his history of poor decision making that seems like a real possibility.
