Lots of teams have said that. Pretty sure the Titan said they weren't trading AJB, most recently. Hunt doesn't have much leverage, but I wouldn't take the teams comment as closure on the situation.
Agree. But i also wouldn't be posting on a message board about trading Hunt to Carolina where they have 2 backup RBs.

Browns running back Kareem Hunt‘s “hold in” appears to be over.

Hunt was not participating in team drills during recent Browns practices at training camp, but multiple reporters at Sunday’s session send word that Hunt has been on the field for 11-on-11 work.

Read an article suggesting "LA" as a potential trade destination. Not clear whether they meant Rams or Chargers but could argue either. Another Henderson injury, or Spiller underwhelming, could add urgency.

Whether Henderson suffers an injury or not, the Rams need a RB as good as Hunt. Henderson is a decent hold-the-spot RB - the RB version of a game manager QB, but he's not a game breaker. Akers now runs like the Kool-Aid man, except he's not knocking down walls/people any more. If the Rams manage to add Hunt, that offense will be almost unstoppable.

One of the best fits I saw floated was the Eagles, due to Hunt absolutely smashing from a metrics perspective whenever he runs from the Gun. Incidentally, that's what the Jalen Hurts offence largely consists of - and no doubt he'd be amazing running with a dual threat like Jalen behind THAT offensive line...

The Eagles are an awful spot. I might almost rather have him on the Browns than the Eagles

Rams make him an instant RB1 though

Why are the Eagles an awful spot?

It's fine, just give it another couple of weeks. 8-)

He would boss out sooooo hard running behind that line. His talent and skill relative to Sanders is clearly on another level, at least to my eyes.

No pass catching, committee approach and I don't trust the offense

He'd do well on the ground and is better than Sanders by a lot but being great on the ground alone isn't making an RB1 except maybe an RB10 like Chubb

Rams and Browns have had discussions on Kareem Hunt. Price is a 4th. Curious if a deal is dependent on Akers.

Stafford and the offense haven't looked good, but getting Hunt would still be great.

I think it's the Rams waiting to see if it's even worth it to still contend this year

I doubt the Rams have any care whether or not they can get anything for Akers, if they can get Hunt for a 4th, and feel they are a contender, I think they'd do it. I think they are attempting to move Akers, knowing a conditional late round pick or late round pick swap is the best they can hope for.

a 6th for akers and a 7th is the most the rams could get, imo: back from a brutal injury, hasn't looked good, his HC can't wait to never have to see him again...

not sure the browns would be interested in akers. how long is jerome ford out for?

That's interesting. Under the impression LAR is always going for it. If they are looking to contend, don't understand why they wouldn't give a 4th for Hunt.

The outta my behind idea was the Rams were trying to get Cleveland to take Akers in a Hunt deal. Likely not, but why wait? Maybe their pick ammo is so limited they may only be able to get one of Hunt or Cooks. Don't know what picks they have or where that info is readily available.
