Late 1st for James Conner

Team in signature.

Outcomes:

Bell returns and I lock up the PIT backfield for my champ run.

If Bell sits the season, I make up for his loss with Conner.

If Bell is traded this season: I have two new RB1's assuming Bell's new team can feed him properly.

If Bell stays, I keep the situation in PIT for the future.

Thoughts? Should I add more, or start the offer with a 1st?

I'd start with a late 1st but expect at least 50% chance of rejection - I assume the owner with Conner is in rebuild or has like a 1-4 type record?

i have Conner and i have turned down that offer and a few better offers
if that has been offered to you, take it...if not, you will probably have to offer someone like Jordan Howard to that first (not even sure that will get it done)

He's 2-3, so fairly close. He did reject the 1st but trade talks are still open.

And I totally get that too. James Conner honestly is his entire team. And he got him over me on a 1pt precedence on waivers in September too. Just waiting on him to make a counter-offer at this point.

kicking myself for not jumping on him in an earlier offer (give up 2.01 and M williams) it was during his 3 down games following week 1 though and i was very skeptical

Its hard to be all in on a backup that has such a murky situation like Conner so can't blame your logic. I do think Conner is the guy moving forward in Pitt so I'd be happy to give a top 5 rookie pick for him. I can't imagine any incoming rookie being in a situation as good as Conner's in 2019.

I wouldn't move my Conner shares for that. But I also think he is the guy in Pitt next season.

You going to need to trade more than the first to get him. He’s legit RB1 now

His price has only increased, there is no way I am selling my share of Conner for a late 2019 first, so if you have the opportunity to purchase for a late first I would jump on it.

The way I look at it, no rookie coming in next year is going to avg 23 ppg, and I think Conner is in Pitt for the long haul, with Bell leaving town.

Zero chance a late first gets it done. Conner could be a top 8 dynasty RB universally in rankings at the start of next season if everything plays out as it seems it will (Bell leaving after this year).
