12 team Non-PPR SuperFlex league.

If you were rebuilding, which side would you rather have for the future?

Boyd

Or

Anthony Miller/2nd

Thanks!!

I would rather have Miller than Boyd straight up...so, the is pretty easily the Miller side for me.

I wouldn't, but I'd still take Miller + 2nd.

Considering I just bought Boyd today I'll side with him.

Miller I have a tough time judging considering he has 60 yards on the year.

2nd round pick is irrelevant for me mostly

Give me Boyd, I was high on him in his draft taking him with a 1.7 and he's finally showing what he can do.

It very well may be that Boyd will start producing going forward...but, I just dont think it will happen as most of his fantasy production this year is not from anything special hes done (skill and talent wise)...but rather hes finding an opening in coverage when it breaks down after Dalton extended the play. Dont get me wrong, that's a positive trait...but it's not a sustainable trait for production. If you watched last nights game, he basically strung a few weeks together going what Nelson Agholor did.

So it's your contention that over a 3 game stretch in which Boyd posted 23/323/2, that his production was primarily as a result of coverage breaking down after Dalton extended the play? I could maybe see the argument if his production was buoyed by a handful of long TDs or something, but in that span he only had one catch over 30 yards and none over 50. He's been more of a chain mover for that offense in that stretch (see final drive 2 weeks ago). That's a lot of volume to attribute to coverage breakdowns on extended plays. I call BS.

Im just not a big Miller guy, never have been. Boyd went from the trash can to a WR2 in a hurry this year. This was the role people were expecting him to play coming out of college. Just took him some time to get there. I'd rather have Boyd if your a contender and probably rather have Boyd if your not too but I can see the appeal of another young WR plus a 2nd for a non contender.

Literally shows 2 of his 23 catches in that span being on scramble drills. Point stands.

Boyd > Miller, but the 2nd is possibly the most valuable piece in a superflex format depending on how early it's projected. I'll take Miller plus the pick here in a rebuild.

Were they not BOTH TD's though? I have no interest in getting into a debate on Boyd. Does he have value? Yes. Is he going to be a guy you start in your fantasy lineups? I hope not.

No. One TD was shown as an example of a scramble drill, but the other TD was used to show an example of him producing outside of a scramble drill (the first 2 plays he shows are scramble drills and then he shows 2 that aren't).

He's WR19 through 5 weeks...probably more WR3 with upside than WR2, but I think he's a solid flex play for most rosters in 12 team+ leagues at this point.

Boyd over Miller, but the 2nd would make the difference. It's fair. Miller is an over rated rookie around here IMO, but he can still do something. He's an old rookie, and if he does nothing this year, his value takes a huge hit IMO. If Boyd can put up 1000 yards by the end of the year, he's worth more than Miller and a 2nd by years end, unless Miller puts up something similar.
