OMG

OMG

OMG

Every once in a while I'll hear a band for the first time & instantly want more more more of their music.

That is Mogwai. Why couldn't you have shared this like 2-3 weeks ago so I could have nagged people to get it for me for Christmas / Birthday! :wall: :x

And another :wall: for not having discovered them before.

And after reading their wiki page - not surprised I love them - considering their influences include Pixies, MC5 & Fugazi (all bands on my playlists).
LOL. I went out to BC for the first time last year, and was staying in a friends cabin (the local farmer, a nice English guy in his 30's rented it to him.) I had just laid down to go to sleep, with the aid of a little green leaf which I had not had in a long time, and this music started playing out across the countryside from the farmer little barn area. It was amazing, and a after a few songs I was saying to myself "who is this???!!!!!". After about an hour, a live version of a song finishes, and a BBC announcer said "Ladies and Gentleman, .....Mogwai" and then applause. That was my introduction to Mogwai. I approached Sam (the farmer) the next day to thank him for introducing me to Mogwai, it was an experience I will never forget. I was just lying there in euphoria as this music poured out into the country night. Amazing.

If you watched / listened to this video you'll know that they mentioned 10 Music genres that have now died out, just like 2018. For the next 10 days I will honour these genres - 1 genre a day. 8-)

Well I do like this song but right now I am just posting a song from each of the 10 genres that have died. So its not really a close reflection of my musical tastes as most of the other songs are. But great to hear we share similar music tastes - feel free to share some! :)
