Nick Vannett

Think he could be a sleeper this year?

No Graham anymore and SEA doesn’t have many other offensive weapons. Dickson is injured and doesn’t sound like he will be back anytime soon.

I would monitor RZ targets by position .. if TE is targeted he's definitely a sleeper

In deep leagues or TE premium, yes I am picking him up. Decent chance he’s a Kyle Rudolph lite, and gets 40-500-6

I've been holding across multiple leagues. Here, Vannett mentions the TE is the first read on plays this year- https://www.thenewstribune.com/sports/n ... 17530.html

Keeping my eye on him. Seems to be a good candidate for a TE2 to see how he grows in the offense this year.

Yup he's another stash for me where I'm hoping someone blows up to become a TE 1.

Willson, Everett , Vannett , Herndon , the Houston kid can't remember his name etc.

It's not overly positive that 30+ year old Ed Dickson was being considered the #1 all offseason it seems...but I guess there's no timetable of when Dickson is coming back so Vannett had a good inaugural game as the #1, hopefully he can keep it up.

Worth a stab if you have the roster space.

I'm desperate for a starting TE in two leagues after Hunter Henry's injury. I won't pay a second or third round pick for some other starter when the #5-20 TEs score so similarly, so I've picked up guys like Vannett, Ryan Griffin in Houston, Jake Butt in Denver, and Blake Jarwin in Dallas.

Hou kid is Jordan Akins

I do have an open spot. Looking at a couple of different options. Just wasn't sure how everyone views Vannett. I think I have it down between Vannett and Jordan Akins. I like both as a stash. Akins is an older rookie, but he did look comfortable out there in that 1st preseason game (I know that you can't put too much stock into 1 preseason game though). I know he has to beat out Griffin and Anderson, but I'm not sure how difficult that will be, because neither one of those are entrenched as the starter there. Vannett could be a sneaky add because of the other targets on SEA though.

Only thing is if I pick up Vannett, I have to leave Njoku on the taxi squad (only 3 TE's on active roster; and taxi squad can only be rookie and 2nd year players). If I pick up Akins, I can activate Njoku and slide Akins in there to see how things shake out in HOU.

If you're desperate/in deep leagues yes I think he'll be viable.
Someone I picked up that someone else mentioned who is likely available in most leagues is Luke Willson.
I think he's a more polished receiver and I like his situation a little more in DET with Stafford.
Between the two TD's are a tossup, but think Willson will have my yards.

Herndon and Akins are smart fliers.

I snagged Vannett in a couple deeper leagues and am happy about it. Virtually no competition in Seattle besides Dixon. Plus the 2 for 20 and a TD in the pre season opener... He's got some TE 2 upside.

I haven’t picked up Vannett in any of my leagues so far, but I understand the intrigue. I have him on my watch list. My fliers at TEs and I know some of these have been mentioned, are guys like Jake Butt and Jordan Akins. I may end up picking up Vannett in some, especially if D.Walker’s injury ends up being serious at all.
