Time to Move Evans?

Postby EAGLES » Fri Aug 10, 2018 9:04 am

I’ve been an Evans truther, but I feel like it’s time to move on. I’d like to round out my team by picking up a WR/RB combo.

What would I need to add to Evans to get Landry & Mixon? Other owner is looking for WRs. So, I thought I’d use Evans since I have Keenan and AB. Or should I stay put?

1QB 2RB 3WR 2Flex 1TE 1DST (Our 2nd Flex spot will now include an RB spot starting in 2019 which is why I’m looking for another RB)

My Team
QBs: Carr, Tannehill
WRs: A Brown, Evans, K. Allen, Jordy, R. Matthews, Doctson, K. White, Taywan, Kirk (R), TreQuan (R)
RBs: Bell, Penny, A. Jones, CJ Prosise, J. White, Gallman, Ekeler, B Scott
TEs: Doyle, Reed, Everett, R. Seals-Jones, J. Butt
DEF: LA RAMs, Saints
K: J. Elliott
2019: 1st, 3rd

I don't think you should be looking to "move on" from Evans. Unless you can get an elite return I'd be holding because he'll bounce back this year. Landry is definitely underrated but I don't think Mixon closes the gap. I don't like Mixon though

I think Landry and Mixon is a solid price to get for Evans, but I would still hold him at that price. Like jcc6fd said I think he'll bounce back this year. Though I wouldn't blame you for taking the package. But if you do, I wouldn't add much if anything (maybe a 3rd to get it done if you want?).

Hmmm  maybe I’m putting too much value on Landry/Mixon

I'd probably move Evans for Landry and Mixon, but not if you have to add more to your side.

Evans (even after last year) is going 11 overall in startups. Mixon, oddly, is going 21 overall. Landry is going 37 overall. http://www.mizelle.net/mfl/2018/

I'd expect Evans to regress upward, Mixon will only go down unless he performs exceptionally well. Though Landry took a hit simply because he signed with CLE and is likely to climb, I don't think it's a good value. Would you trade a late first startup pick for a late 2nd and an early 4th?

Maybe I am low on Mixon but I would not move Evans for this. I would pursue a different runner (how about Dalvin?), and maybe a TE since you seem to have a logjam of players there who I don't have much faith in. Then again I don;t have much faith in many TE's to produce consistently

WR: Mike Evans, Keenan Allen, JuJu, DK, AJ Brown, Jeudy
TE: Evan Engram, Irv Smith, Ian Thomas
IDP: CJ Mosley, Harrison Smith, Christian Kirksey, Jaylon Smith

I thought Landry was going early to mid 3rd but I see your point.

I voted for Evans but like the idea of moving him. I just don't like mixon enough.

For context, I traded Evans in August of last year for Keenan Allen, AJ Green and golden tate. You won't fetch that package today but you should do better than mixon and Landry and I love Landry
