Re: Who is going too late?
I think Gesicki is going too late ... IMO, he should be in the conversation right after the top 8-9 RBs are gone. I’d prefer to have Gesicki over most the WRs with the execption of Moore & Sutton.
He has a clear path to start & should receive meaningful targets. I know TEs take longer to develop, but i believe that applies to traditional TEs moreso than hybrid TE/WR like Engram last year.

Re: Who is going too late?
While I agree Gesicki is underrated, I think there is a misnomer in thinking that Engram developed faster or was "ready to contribute" last year. He was forced to contribute last year because everyone else on the team got hurt. He certainly wasn't ready and the oft overlooked thing with him is that his efficiency numbers for a TE were dreadfully awful. Eric Ebron is about the only TE that had a worse rookie season from an efficiency standpoint in recent history.Forza_Azzurri wrote: ↑Thu May 17, 2018 10:54 am I think Gesicki is going too late ... Re: Who is going too late?
Seriously. Kelly might turn out to be a draft steal, or maybe he's just a RB version of Charone Peak, Keyarris Garrett, ESB, Malachi Dupri, etc.TB3falcons wrote: ↑Thu May 17, 2018 12:41 pmThat and his 6th round draft capitalsugbear65 wrote: ↑Wed May 16, 2018 4:13 pm John Kelly. Re: Who is going too late?
Feel like Tre'Quan Smith is probably going a little too late. People are reaching for guys like Gallup because of his situation but moving Tre'Quan down because they think he's in a bad situation.
He's got a great profile and belongs in the same group as Miller, Pettis and Washington based on the Saints history of drafting skill position players alone. Cooks, Thomas and Kamara are the last 3 guys drafted in the first 3 rounds by the Saints over the last couple of years. Payton knows how to use his guys.

Re: Who is going too late?
I have felt like I was on an island on Kelly. I didn't have him in my top 40 pre-draft, so him getting selected in the sixth round basically reinforced my thoughts on him. For me, he is now going where I thought he should have all along.sugbear65 wrote: ↑Wed May 16, 2018 4:13 pm John Kelly. Re: Who is going too late?
Value picks for me:
Anthony Miller-best wr for me (great value at end of first
Kenyon Johnson-second best rb (great value for a mid first
Jordan Lasley-he looked expolsive in the couple games i watched (can get very late, like him in the third)
Chark-great potential (like him a lot in the third)
Gesecki-an incredible te prospect (like him in early second)

Re: Who is going too late?
ESB has been going before Moore in my drafts. I just got a copy at 3.10 on a team with Adams.Needalife wrote: ↑Thu May 17, 2018 8:48 am Jordan Wilkins is one for sure. I love his style of play and I think it fits the Indy backfield best as a guy who can do everything. He could be the mid-year starter and the kind of player who could elevate a playoff run. For me, he's a late 2nd to mid 3rd. In my 2 drafts thus far, I didn't have picks in those later rounds and he went undrafted so I was able to get him off waivers. Anyway, he is undervalued for my taste.
J'Mon Moore is my other guy. I love his game and can picture his style meshing well with Rodgers. He'll have opportunity for sure. I laugh every time ESB gets drafted 1-2 rounds later. Classic!
I love the fit in GB.

So you'd have taken Kerryon 1.02 if you had that pick? Guessing you didnt have to take him that early to get him on your roster?lic217 wrote: ↑Thu May 17, 2018 3:21 pm Value picks for me:

Yep. This is also the much more likely scenario, too. Unless he's Arian Foster (but running the same 40 time at a much lighter weight), the upside looks to be Special Teams guy, because he is physical, or a practice squad.lukkynumber13 wrote: ↑Thu May 17, 2018 1:16 pmSeriously. P.S. Borderline first rounder? Amateur scouts (and bad ones at that) are the only ones who would ever think that. Come on. Yes situations change fast, but talent doesn't. So if a generational type talent in Gurley suddenly suffers a career ending injury, the situation will change, and the Rams will be forced to fill that position will another RB, with a plethora of options more talented than John Kelly, some of whom are probably currently unsigned.

Think they were probably referring to the fact Kelly was a borderline dynasty rookie draft first rounder. ADP of 15 pre draft

Re: Who is going too late?
Just curious, which efficiency numbers are you referring to? IIRC, Shepard had similar criticism, so maybe it's something to do with Eli? Also, I'd kinda expect less than great efficiency with him getting more volunteer then just about any rookie TE in memory.Vcize wrote: ↑Thu May 17, 2018 11:54 am While I agree Gesicki is underrated, I think there is a misnomer in thinking that Engram developed faster or was "ready to contribute" last year. Plus in Miami, it seems very possible Gesicki is the last guy standing at some point when Amendola and Parker are his main competition.

I probably should have done something more productive with that time...
