no rankings no fluff just some good ol shade thrown down

qbs - darnold - look he is an alleged wunderkind but if he is the best USC qb ever that means he is better than carson palmer but what if he isn't -what if he is 2nd best USC qb ever the drop from #1 to #2 now is horrific ! do you want to take that risk ?

mayfield - same story what if he is better than sam bradford great you have a qb 2 what if he is 2nd best - no thanks
rosen - injury prone with an attitude - no really go ahead I will wait on the next taxi !
allen - luke lalouche's kid makes it to the NFL - terrific ?
jackson - mom is agent and she is not returning calls surely that will impress the people hiring for a gig w/ scores of applicants.
rudolph - BIG 12 STAT BOY QB so blaine gabbert or perhaps landry jones with out the killer porn 'stache

rbs john kelly - 100 times this draft season I have heard or read from experts / fan boys wow did you see the florida tape - here is an idea did you see any of the non florida tape ? - PsST - suggestion set an alarm clock if you have anything to do the day you watch it ! contact balance schmontact balance when you are moving that slowly you should have great balance !
ballage - so greatest pro day ever swell were there any defenders there since when ballage played against a defense he avg 4.4 YPC or nearly a yard per carry less than sloth like old school grinder demario richard who side note I as a 53 year old with a titanium left knee MAY have a chance to beat in a 40 yard dash .
I have seen both of these guys taken in the top 10 in rookie mocks I would much rather have justin jackson 15 or 20 picks later seriously if you even contemplate taking those guys just trade out for a later pick and a future pick and thank me later !

akrum wadley - small and slow I had seen him as high as top 5 rb a few months ago hint if you watch tape and see ronnie hillman or isiah pead just take your red pen and draw a line through that name or set your draft sheet aflame and go fishing .

wrs -
ridley - comment best route runner in the class allegedly - terrific as a 36 year old he should have mastered something by now .
sutton - hey sign me up for a heavy footed diva wr that ran a terrific 40 at the combine from a non power 5 conference what could go wrong ? Attention mr sutton there is a call from a mr. perriman on line 1 !
tate oh how the people loved him and then he ran a 4.69 but hey he did catch 65 balls in his 3 years so there is that to bank on !
antonio calloway - WTF more like antonio montana - drugs , sexual assault allegations & credit card fraud -and that is just the stuff we know about - now someone is going to give this guy a sack of cash and freedom to manage his own life I have railed against goodell's treatment of joshy gordon over the years here at DLF but seriously shouldn't goodell just do a preventative 2 year suspension on calloway the day after the draft . Pretty sure terrell pryor was suspended 5 games for getting free tattoos in college , then enforced by the NFL - well by the transitive property shouldn't calloway just get 2 years off the top to balance the scales ?

tes - just don't draft rookie TE period unless you have a very deep draft 4 rounds or so or super deep rosters . Just wait until the original drafting owners get freaked out by their wasted pick and scoop them up for cheap like eric ebron or ASJ after a few years . this class alone has 2 or 3 freak athletes that will by over drafted in goedert gesicki and ian thomas that will be likely slow to transition and amount to roster cloggers for 2 or 3 seasons , even the most patient of owners will entertain cheap trades on these guys in 2021 when a bunch of new shiny objects come into view .

Excellent !!!

Now there's some " Fair & Balanced" reporting from down on the troll farm :liar: ( although I did detect a hint of Putinism influence in trying to upset & divide the opposition)

Additionally the only thing lower than the Ballage 40 time (4.46) was his avg yds per carry his last TWO years in Tempe.

Akrum Wadley (pronounced A' - crumb Waddle - lee ) may not be that fast after all but he still is really short so he's got that going for him.

Lastly there is special place in fantasy sports Hell for those that disparage Luke Lalouche. Bless them Father for they have simmed . Josh is no Dummy Bird as his wonderlic scores will attest to ( or is that a test too ? )

The thing with rookie TEs I've noticed is that everyone is fully aware at this point that they don't prosuxe their rookie year or year two really, so it's not like someone is selling them on the cheap a couple of years down the line. Owners are aware that it takes time and rosters are usually deep enough to where they can be stashed for a few seasons.

You'd think that's the case but every year there's some darling TE from a year or two before that hasn't put up Gronk-like #s and is cut for a WR/RB flier. At least that's my experience. It's why I generally don't draft TEs. I've gotten a fair assessment in my leagues that most other owners are impatient. At the same time I may be on the far extreme to the other side. I'm still holding a few shares of Conley. :(

I'll only respond to the QB review, since I've done fair bit of review on these guys as well. Your take is shallow and just regurgitates the sound bites that a lot of pundits and posters are throwing around.

Maybe they were CCs takes originally and the talking heads stole them from him? :surprised:

Seriously, let's take Lamar Jackson. The fact that his mom isn't returning calls does not impact the type of player he will become. It might affect his draft stock somewhat, though I doubt he will fall beyond Arizona, one way or another.

Comparing guys against their predecessors, many not even immediate, makes no sense either. Baker Mayfield is nothing like Sam Bradford. Different arms, different body types, different personalities, different leaders. A better comp is Drew Brees, in size, arm strength and intangibles. Not saying Baker will be the next Drew Brees, but he has the potential to be similar to him.

hear the sound of my own horn tooting but it happens a lot - not that they steal my takes but I see things long before it is a talking point and tell just the few guys I converse with on a regular basis . I have been on the record since before draft season this class was more like the mcnown akili smith class than the mainstream will ever admit until it has become obvious .

All I wanna know is who is McNown and who is Akili?

Unbelievably I drafted both of those busters in '99. Worst draft I ever had looking back. :boohoo:

Took Cecil Collins with the 1.05 pick, Cade McNown 1.07 & Akili Smith 2.01 ...then a guy I had played basketball against in Ann Arbor and Waterford , Michigan hometown hero Tai Streets in the fourth rd.I don't think a single one of them was in the league 5 years later

Cecil "The Diesel" was one of the top ten backs I'd ever seen when breaking on the college scene @ LSU. Ended up @ McNeese St. due to multiple suspensions. Go watch his first 2-3 games @ LSU replacing the injured Kevin Faulk.Looked like Walter Payton reincarnated.

Ricky Williams and David Boston were the cream of the crop ...And both of them flaked out and never were what they could've & should've been. Edgerin James was also @the top of the draft.

Five QB's in first rd. Only Donovan was worthy as Daunte ran aground after the "Love Boat" affair. Couch was a #1 overall bust.

But I did get to play in a summer lg against two draftees and with one in basketball. Jon Jansen and his brother Dave played with us and Dave Bowens , Tai Streets & undrafted FA Diallo Johnson played against us. Current LA Lakers GM Rob Pelinka also played and was just starting as a sports agent representing Streets. Unfortunately he didn't give great advice as Tai tore his Achilles tendon playing pickup that spring just before the draft.

Big Zero out of Four picks

Akili Smith was once a Frankfurt Galaxy qb. I loved them as a kid, haha
