The big thing is his real draft value now, I don’t see Cleveland not taking him at one now honestly
Which would just be so laughably Cleveland. A team with that many needs should not be spending the first pick in the draft, or any first rounder for that matter, on what is one of the least important positions on the field.
Of course, if they had a competent coach they probably wouldn't have the 1st pick in the draft.
Yeah, I agree. Unless you think Barkley is truly a generational talent. They can grab one of the other QBs at 4.. heard a rumor they could trade their 4th and the 1st pick in the second to the Giants for the #2 overall and grab both Barkley and their franchise QB. So many rumors around this time. Time will tell.
That would be the dumbest trade ever... give up the 33rd pick for a guy they very well could get at 4? Neither the Giants nor the Colts need to take a QB. Even if Cleveland takes Barkley 1, it's a very real possibility Chubb and Nelson go and they are still the first team drafting a QB at 4. Would be a very Cleveland trade to do.

Taking Barkley at 1 or 4 is stupid. It was stupid for the Cowboys and Jags to take Elliot/Founette at 4. It is always stupid to take one of the least valuable positions in football that high.

Good point. Very Cleveland thing to do.

Cleveland shouldn't even have Barkley on their board. I can't believe Chubb going #1 isn't pushed more. To me, he's the best talent in this draft, and pairing him with Garrett gives the D something truly menacing. Then grab your QB at 4, and take best RB available in the second along with either OL or DB's. I get the identify your QB argument, though. I just don't fully agree it's that prohibative this year.

Or bring back the crow and take best RB available in the 3rd - in a class this stacked, they'll be plenty of NFL starter level talent available, maybe even into the 4th

The combine basically went as expected, unless you were not paying attention.
This. Also, the combine numbers are the most overrated, meaningless, stupid numbers of all time.
What’s a bigger overreaction to the underwear olympics- the surge in Barkley’s value or the surge in DJ Moore’s?

That’s a good point. Moore shot wayyyy up on a lot of boards.

Saquon hasn't surged in value, he simply cemented his place as the #1 rookie by far and a top 6-8 dynasty RB.

He’s now going in the top 5 picks in startup mocks.

I agree, that’s a bit crazy. Having not played a single down in the NFL. Like you said, I think it solidifies him as the top rookie as he stands in a tier by himself, but idk how much higher his stock can possibly rise. Unless of course he lands somewhere great.

He was going top 5 in mocks before the combine.
But mocks are worthless at the same time.
