What do y'all think is the difference in value between the two?

I think this really depends on who you ask, but personally I look at this like: Julio for Barkley. For me, and I may be in the minority here, but I'd swap Julio for Barkley no questions asked.

You're not in the minority. The value difference is substanatial in favor of Barkley.

I offered Julio for 1.1 in a start 3 wr 12 team league... it wasn't considered strongly.

Granted the other owner is ok at wr and looking for rb help so there's a roster construction angle

I think there's some real fear with Julio regarding a chronic injuries early retirement, tie that in w/an underperforming QB in 2 of the past 3 years, a horrible offensive coordinator, and his age, and there's really no reason anyone with the 1.01 would justifiably do that. A better deal would be to offer a quality RB, and a solid WR. That might get him to bite, especially if you add a pick.

I'd rather have the 1.01, but the difference isn't very big.

Agreed and I'd rather have Julio.

I concur with Skip - I'd rather have Julio Jones than Barkley.

However trade value wise you're more likely to get more for Barkley than you would for Julio. I think in the end a lot depends on who owns the 1.01. If it is a team that "earned" it because they have a weak roster, then they are likely to want more than Julio. But if it was a team that "lucked" into it by "tanking", by "trade" or "bad injury luck" maybe they'll be more willing to take Julio for the 1.01. I mean 4 straight years of 1400+ yards and he is still a couple of years away from any sort of decline.

im also of the opinion that taking the player you know (esp. when its someone as good as Julio) is better than taking the risk. However, given all the negative outlook surrounding Julio (similar to AJG) and the time of year i would say the 1.01 holds more value.

I would not trade my 1.1 for Julio. I like to sell assets around his age. I sold AJG last year.

1.01. But it also feels, just dirty having to add to Julio to get a rookie.

I own Barkley in two devy leagues so I'm all aboard the hype train, but this thread is basically saying Barkley is already a top 4-6 overall start up player/value.

...and it isn't even rookie fever season yet

Well two things at play here.

1) He probably is top 4-6 overall startup value
2) Julio is not top 4-6 overall startup value.

1.01 = Julio + mid-first.
