Acquiring first round picks this time of year is about as easy or fun as pulling teeth. I have only my 1.6, I've put together what I've felt are good offers for the 1.5 and 1.9 from leaguemates, and they've pulled the super frustrating thing of saying "sounds good" when messaging and then not accepting when its in their MFL inbox and trying to drastically change the deal and get way more in the counter because "it just didn't feel right"

So, this class looks to be deep and I'm in a 10 team league, so maybe I can grab some seconds for some veteran players? Team 1 in sig. Guys I'm thinking about are bolded below, if I could get some insight on approximate value of the non top tiered guys, and if I should move them or keep them with my team make up

RB- Dalvin Cook, Mark Ingram, Lamar Miller are my starters. Jay Ajayi is my current RB4 (who I've been trying to move for a mid 1st but no interest). I have Theo Riddick who I'd like to move maybe for an early second? I also have James White, who I feel is a better scoring version of Riddick but without the consistency. If I can't sell Ajayi, I could sell both ppr backs as usable flex/bye players. TJ Yeldon to Fournette owner perhaps? Maybe just a 3rd. I have Akeem Hunt, and Kareem hunt owner is a yugge handcuffer. Would he be worth anything? Funny, he only got Hunt because he had Ware and wanted the handcuff lol

WR- OBJ, Mike Evans, and Landry are my starters for next year which I'm super stoked about. I have Juju and Corey Davis as my depth with upside. Tried selling Robby Anderson for the 1.9 but he was nothing but a chat tease I see now. Might reach out to 1.10 owner. I already sold J Matthews for the 2.5 and that's currently my only 2nd. Would Mohomed Sanu or Taylor Gabriel be worth second? I have Tyler Boyd who I've given up on, what would he still be worth if someone wanted to give him a chance on their bench?

None of those guys are worth a 2nd in a 10 team.

x2 I'd trade Yeldon to the Fournette owner for a 3rd if you can get that done. Sanu + Riddick might get you a 2nd depending on whether the owner needs depth and believes in Riddick...

Alright, I'll lower my valuations of them (I really thought Riddick and White would be worth mid to early 2nds on their own, the others I get) and see what I can get done for lotto tickets

In my experience, you often have to add a pick or two back (like 3rds or 4ths) to get 2nds and 1sts, especially in 10-team leagues.

In a shallow league, it's really not a big deal giving up 3rds or 4ths, so packaging both of them with players sometimes helps.

sanu was a wr3 last season he should be worth a second if you can sell someone on him. tons of very unsexy names listed and robby anderson is one of them, hes better off as a hold than a sell because he gets no respect for what he has produced

Piling on unfortunately to concur that in a 10 team league I would not consider any of those players to be worth 2nds - doesnt hurt to try though ...

I could see Yeldon and Sanu possible going for seconds but that seems lofty in a 10 team league. Akeem Hunt has no business on a roster in such a small league. I guess it's possible you can get something for Riddick. I don't think you will get anything in return for White or Gabriel.

Agree with all the above. Sanu and riddick probably most valueable

I think you're overvaluing your own guys - especially at this time of year, when the perceived value of picks rises.

Here is my problem with the guys you mentioned, because I do have a few shares of these players. At times they have some nice scoring weeks,but I just don’t feel comfortable starting any of them. The time to trade a Sanu or a Riddick is in season during the bye weeks where guys are trying to make the playoffs and are having bye week issues. I like the way you are thinking by picking up some second rounders. With 4 QBs that should be drafted in the first 2 rounds of rookie drafts I think there will be some great value in picks 10-20.

I was able to get a mid-2nd for Sanu.
