I've got to dive in on Ronald Jones a little more, so take this with a grain of salt, but I wasn't overly impressed with the guy. He could be good, but I definitely think I've got at least 4-5 backs ahead of him.

Who do you have ranked ahead of him right now?

Saquon, Guice, Michel, and Cubb definitely. After that he's in a group with a few other guys for me.

What are people's thoughts on Kerryon Johnson? His stats look nice and I've seen him go early second round in NFL mock Drafts but I just watched his game against Missouri on draftbreakdown and he didn't look like anything special. Maybe slightly above average. Looked like he got what was blocked for him. Not much wiggle but he has good size so he can get the short yards when needed. Hard to tell how fast he was on tape since he never ran more than 5 yards. I also noticed a ton of wildcat plays in this game, Is this just the offense Auburn runs or does he have history with throwing the ball in high school?

This is the first tape I've seen of him so I will be watching more. Just my initial reaction.

Probably won't be anything special, but I could see him getting a consistent role in the NFL. His style reminds me of Marcus Lattimore.

I thought the same thing when I watched his videos on DraftBreakdown. Apparently these are not his best games though. I was directed to watch some of his other games on YouTube, searching for full games or offense-only videos. I did see some better footage when I searched deeper. I'm still not completely sold but it improved my thoughts on him a little bit.

His tape vs Alabama is pretty good, I've been trying to find his games against Georgia but haven't seen any. Those two games he carried Auburn for the win against 2 high level defenses

I like him a lot but I'm scared that he won't have the athleticism to be anything special in the pros. I think he's a very smart and talented player, tho.

I like what I see from Johnson in general, but he's my 6th ranked rookie RB (Barkley, Guice, Michel, Jones, Chubb, Johnson). I noticed he ran a lot out of the Wildcat too and that turned me off at first. On second thought though, those Wildcat plays were ran with no QB so they knew they were running the ball and he still was pretty successful. He plays physical, the thing that stands out is that stiff arm, but he's not that big of a back so I'm not sure he can play like that or be that effective at the next level. And he won't run away from anyone (as far as I've seen on the tape) so I see more of Jordan Howard in him that the L. Bell style comparisons I've been seeing as of late. I think he can be productive in the right destination but I just don't see that WOW factor.

Ooh I love the Howard call! I think that's very fair. He's a smart player, and should definitely earn a role in an NFL backfield, he's sort of the anti-Christine Michael. Probably not very athletic but a guy you can trust.

Hopefully he's more Jordan Howard/Alf Morris than Rob Kelley/Robert Turbin.

Lot of people seem high on Jones.
I have only briefly watched tape on most of these guys.
What am I missing?

I don't currently see it either with Jones. I think he looks good in open space once he gets to the 2nd level but to me he struggles to get there. Isn't very big either. I see another Abdullah at the most
