Nino careful making fun of ignorance and then exhibiting so blatantly, tons of guys have had 4 consecutive 1,000 yard seasons the list you are referring of 3 or 4 guys are guys that did it to start their career . One other thing going forward 10,000 yards won't be an automatic HoF guy in the future as so many guys since the uptick in passing statistics will jet past that # it will be like being a 1,000 yard rusher . Now 13,000 will get you there most likely but many 10,000 yard receivers will never get a sniff of canton .

Do you guys think Godwin will be more or less fantasy relevant in 2018 than Adam Shaheen? I have both on my taxi squad, but I’m thinking I might promote one if I draft a QB. Currently leaning towards Godwin and giving Shaheen another year to develop.

Godwin is the safer bet. Shaheen is still a developing TE. Despite being a Bears fan, I know that Jameis is farther along in development than Trubisky.

Def. We've seen what he can do with DJax and/or Evans sidelined. He is very talented. Furthermore, I know DJAX's back-loaded contract makes him almost unmoveable, but the mere fact that Godwin has already jumped Humphries after his rookie year on a down year for an offense is extremely promising. If not a big leap next year, then def the year after.

on the topic, i got offered 1.10 (10 man league) for Godwin and my 3.05. Gut tells me to pass, I really don't want to move him (especially since he's so valuable at $3 - banking on Godwin and C. Davis leading my team in the future).

I'd sit tight. Only way I do that deal is when on the clock someone I crave is sitting there.

^ fair and good point. thanks dude. I have a love/hate relationship with him. love how talented he is and how he maximized every opportunity when D Jax and Evans were hurt/suspended. I hate Jameis Winston (he's a nut job in my eyes), their OC, and the fact that he's looking at a best case scenario of being a 3rd option after Evans and Howard.

I could pretty easily see Godwin’s targets beating Howard’s within the next year or two.

i agree that he may be more talented, but the threat of Winston running with it, or launching to Evans, opens up for Howard nicely IMO. As an owner, I hope you are correct, but IDK if I see it that way...... although Howard by all measures has produced very little to warrant that type of consideration, although he produced very nicely for a rookie TE, not everyone can be E. Engram.

Edit: And let's not rule out the Bucs drafting and hitting on a top 5 RB in the draft which can take the short yardage game even more from Howard. Ideally - and winston is no peyton - but I would see his ceiling as a pre-decline bronco Peyton Manning to Julius Thomas.

To me it’s Godwin and everyone else in the running. Now I may have a bias given the fact that I own him, but the rest don’t translate the athleticism and opportunity as Godwin does. Only one I would consider as a 1B would be Gallman for sheer opportunity but banking on an unproven RB this early is risky.

Ignorance makes comedy easier.

There's, iirc, only three (might be four?) other players in NFL history to post four consecutive 1k seasons to start their careers. He's still just 24, and thus is comfortably on pace to be a career-stats monster. '17 was the worst season of his young career, and yet he still earned the 14th best PFF grade at WR.

Evans has 4,579 yards and 32 touchdowns in four pro seasons with I'm guessing 6-10 more seasons left to play as a modest estimate. If he gets to 13k yards he's probably a lock for the Hall.
You're mostly right, but say a guy like Brandon Marshall has 12,2k yards, could finish his career with over 13k easily, but for now he's hardly considered anything close to a lock.
That being said, Evans career is only starting, he still has some way to go, could do way better than what he's doing now or way less. Too soon to tell.

Evans signs 5 year extension.

So Godwin will be #2 for the next few years (at best).
