Watson

So I inherited this team as an orphan and I have 2 1sts this year one is around 5th and one around 7th and I can turn the 7th into Watson but I'm thin at wr and rb as far as studs go so I'm wondering if I'd be more suited to take a chance on a rb or wr with my 1sts and just grab a qb in the 2nd. I have a mid 2nd to but no 1st next season.

As you already have Stafford on your roster, I would go for a RB or WR with your 2018 first round picks.

Superflex? If so I think you take Watson. I am up in the air myself if not. Stafford should have several good years ahead of him so you definitely don't need to rush for another qb.

No not superflex but Stafford is like the ultimate SAFE qb. He just scores around 14 to 18 every week and I just think Watson has the potential to get those week winning scores in the 30s. I'm happy with Stafford but I could have used more power from my qb a few weeks but maybe I can find that from rb and wr instead. This lineup lacks that power. Lots of middle of the road guys.

I would probably hold the pick myself. This draft is full of QBs. Hard to tell who will pan out but it should become a little clear after free agency and the draft.

Not to mention you don't know how Watson will be coming back from a major injury. Most recover but he could be the next Culpeper/RG3.

Thanks for opinions. That's what I was worried about...the recovery.

His body of work is very small to begin with. It looks very promising but is it sustainable. Only time will tell that

I’d take Watson as he can be a league winner ..

I think I'd take Watson here. You're not going to be contending for at least 1-2 years. I'd lock up my future starter for the next 10-15 years now. Small sample size but he sure does look special. Then I'd build around him.

I traded Watson for 1.07, Dalvin Cook, and Cam Newton just before he suffered the injury. This is a single QB league. Guy loved the idea of having the Watson to D.Hop rainbow. Point is, his value is way high, and the fantasy community is gushing over him, and rightfully so. But if in a single QB or superflex league, I would look to draft a QB or trade for one, and fill holes at WR and RB for him.
