First and Second for Jarvis Landry

10 man 1.0 PPR, 1 QB 2 RB 3 WR 2 Flex D/ST, 26 man roster

Hard salary cap - lots of valuable players are being treated as scraps because of this.

Offer:

I give: First (1.04 - 1.07) and Second (2.05 - 2.08) - my most educated projection as these are not my original picks.

I get: Jarvis Landry at $25.80. Our cap is at $200 and guys like D.Hop are being moved around for a bag of peanuts because his salar is at $66 and change.

If I were to make this trade, all it would leave me with is a 2.05 - 2.09 pick for next season.

I'm banking on two things: 1. Landry continuing to produce for this year and helping my atrocious WR situation 2. Him landing in a more desirable spot next year.

I would be over, but wouldn't be a variable for this year and next (weird rules, too much to explain). Which is fine, considering some of the age and salaries of my players (see below).

Thanks in advance.

I’ would do this easily. Landry is way underrated, he’s worth at least 2 firsts imo

Thanks. To play Devil's Advocate:

1 - He is not a stud, and a first rounder allows you to potentially land one

2 - He could very well end up in Miami, and D. Parker will take over

and 3, my personal favorite...

3 - He is a complete P.O.S.

These are the points that go through my mind.

Landry is a hold for now. Imagine if he goes to NE, Philly, KC or somewhere where the underneath routes can be further exploited. Miami is so predictable.

Your odds of landing a "stud" or even a player of the same caliber with that 1st are actually quite low.

I would do the deal for Landry without much hesitation.

Thank you. my main concern is being reduced to just one late second rounder in the upcoming draft, but as you can see I have tons of young talent from last years' draft. Is this something I should be too concerned about?

Agree with this. Who cares if you don't have any early picks next year when you've already used them on proven players.

Thank you all for the feedback. I pulled the trigger, and this is what it looked like ultimately:

Give: My mid-to-late 1st, 2nd
Get: J. Landry AND Alex Collins.

This should help me significantly for now and the future.

Yeah, that's kind of like saying "I know I'm up in the draft now, but if I make a pick then I'll only have one pick left".

Take Landry. He's a PPR monster! And after this week I'm assuming he'll be about the 5-6 wr in the league. He's a lock for at least 5-50 and thats probably low. He catches so many passes

I took it... and it's the one WR I was missing with my core, with Fitz's reup in contract, I am proud to boast: Hilton, Jordy, Landry, Fitz, Corey and Watkins as my starting WR squad next year. It just sucks who all but one of those WR's were blessed with a good year this year, which left me in the shitter.
