This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

TY Hilton trade

Postby Dirty Mike&the Boys » Wed Oct 25, 2017 7:37 am

Currently 4-3, but don't believe I have the strength to take the cheese this year, going to tank for Guice/Barkley, as I have three first rd picks this yr.

The top dog offered me Josh Doctson and a second rd this yr, for T.Y. Hilton. He advised expiration on the offer by lunch time today. Thoughts?

NOTE: He also owns Cooper Kupp, should I counter for Kupp instead?

That's a horrendous offer...tell him to enjoy his lunch and decline (and even adding Krupp would not move the needle)

The fact that he put an inspector gadget-like expiration on the offer only adds to the hilariousness of said offer.

You probably aren't going to get many good responses given the way you worded this.

Yeah, definitely wouldn't do this trade. Life without Luck has been hard on TY, but he's still very capable of being a top end WR with Luck throwing him the ball. Easily trying to sell Doctson since he's getting snaps now and anyone that gives you an expiration on any type of deal, tell them to eat it and walk away.

The comment about lunch time was a bit goofy, he is a coworker who sits nearby and we do a lot of ball busting, so it may have been taken out of context.

What exactly is Hilton's value at this juncture? He is pretty worthless this year, minus a few blow up games. I know once Luck is back, he will be worth significantly more. Do I just hold for next yr, for a big push? He currently rounds out a starting WR corps of D. Adams, himself, and Benjamin.

Doctson I like, but fear Cousins leaving Washington. I like Kupp moving forward as well, as I can see him and Goff being a solid tandem for 5-10 years.

Hilton is still worth two mid firsts in my mind. He will have luck next year and has plenty of life left in those legs.

If he gave you Kupp doctson and a late first I’d consider that, but nothing less.

Thanks for the input fellas. I had a feeling Hilton was worth far more than what he had been playing it off as. I had countered with a first, and Doctson for Hilton, and he rejected.

I'll just stay put, try to deal Roethlisburger, and retool.

I just stole Hilton in my league. So now as a Hilton owner I wouldnt even respond to this. I wouldnt sell him for a 1st and doctson TBH.

His value is low right now, its not the time to sell him. Its the time to try and buy

TY is easily worth a early to mid first alone, I'd simply let lunch time roll by without a reply. If you want to move TY I'd put it out there to the league and start to build some competition for him. Your rb's are young and hopefully 1 or 2 will be the lead rb on their team next year, then you add 3 firsts to your roster and your team is looking much better.

Yup...don't even respond, just let it expire at lunch as he anxiously awaits your response of a terrible offer.
