Had an interesting back and forth about a trade Wentz for Prescott in another forum and privately. Opening this up. Fwiw....I like Wentz. Thoughts? Thanks in advance for your thoughtful insight.

Im a Dallas fan, and I try my best to be objective (if an objective Dallas fan is a real thing). Dak's accuracy on longer throws can be pretty damn spotty. The offense he's in isn't designed to throw it 40 times a game, and his ceiling is going to be limited. Upside- his line is great, as is his run game. I like Wentz...a lot. I have him rostered in 2 leagues. I like his offense. I like that Pederson comes from the Andy Reid coaching tree, and I damn sure remember McNabb throwing 65% of the time one year. Can that be Wentz? I don't know. But every game I've seen of his, he's been impressive. Just my newb .02 on an eyeball test....

I'm assuming this is for Carson, which I would choose him over Dak

Not sure how this is Carson "all day." Dak was much better last year and this year is pretty even so far. I wouldn't blame anyone for taking either player, but this is as close as it gets.

Wentz for me.
The thing I don't like about Dak is you're counting on rushing points to keep his scoring up. I don't like counting on rushing TD's with quarterbacks, not to mention those guys have a tendency to get hurt more.

Except Wentz has more rushing yards and almost twice as much rushing attempts than Dak. So by your logic, you should like Wentz less and he's more likely to get hurt. Dak is just so much better at running and knowing when to slide and not take hits, whereas Wentz is reckless as hell and takes big hits every game.

Wentz for me, love everything he does. I think he will only get better whilst I feel dak is great but his upside isn't as high. Just my opinion, I'm in now way a qb expert, I believe wentz will be elite in another year or 2

I think I like Wentz slightly more, but I see both of these guys putting up big fantasy seasons for the long haul.

Except Wentz has less rushing yards per game, which is really what matters. Take out the QB sneaks and kneel downs, and their rushing attempts per game are almost equal.
Somehow, you conveniently left out all of last year in your response.
You also very conveniently left out the part where I mentioned rushing TD's. Last two years Prescott has 10 to Wentz's 2. QB rushing yards are far more consistent year to year than TD's.

Wentz does hold the ball longer and go down the field more than Prescott's dink and dunk style. Because of that he will take more hits in the pocket, however he is also bigger.

Overall, you're not going to go wrong with either guy. I prefer Wentz, he's the better pure passer and I think he has more room for growth as an NFL QB. And, I just like his style of play more than Prescotts.

No, my argument was that Wentz rushes just as much, if not more. Meaning he's just as risky as Dak to get hurt. I wasn't talking about the TDs or last year's stats. Just pointing out that if you're worried about Dak not staying healthy because he runs a lot, you should be even more worried about Wentz with his reckless running style.

I think we'll find out just how good Dak can be in the next 6 weeks without Zeke. Regardless, I would be okay with either of them right now. Long term I like Wentz more, so I'll take him.

Until dak gets a Wrs he can throw too.. I’m going Wentz..I’m a big Dallas fan but the last few games dak has looked bad... it’s not on,y him but his WRs are not close to the same page .. maybe we have seen dak ceilings and he is more a manger like Alex Smith than a qb who makes other around him better .. but u really couldn’t go wrong with either qb but I also believe Wentz has the higher ceiling and wentz does not exactly have great WRs either ...

Dez? Just not really going to him for some reason.
