The "official" I.R. Thread*

Just want to keep an accurate updated thread of all players who are lost for the season. Please feel free to add any offensive or IDP (that you feel are fantasy worthy) players not listed. Mainly to help all of us owners who could forget about them down the road.

You can mention players on short-term IR if you wish, but ideally I'd like this to be a list of players who are gone for the season. :( :(

* - please transfer to appropriate forum if this is not the correct space. :)

Tannehill, Enunwa, Meredith, Dixon, Ware, Henderson...

Then some guys that people hope might return from IR: Swoope, Dede, Mitchell, Gathers...

There are definitely some guys I missed, mostly rookies that probably weren't playing anyway I think.

There are other semi-irrelevant rookies too, like the Broncos put Chad Kelly on IR too. I didn't know that until I just spent a minute looking around at my league's IRs. :P

Here is the Rotowire, they are good because they list IR on the top to the right of the news feed:

http://www.rotonews.com/football/injuries.htm

I also really like Fantasy Labs Injury dashboard, they do a pretty good job tracking practice reports on players, this is more for current Q, D, O considerations on a weekly view than IR though ...

http://www.fantasylabs.com/articles/nfl ... dashboard/

Since I have a RSS feed with all 32 teams and get the practice reports myself, I'll be curious to compare the dashboard to the news I get on the RSS feed .. couldn't this week because of Hurricane Irma..

Maybe consider grouping by position for your list? It's hard to look through right now.

One of my leagues uses punters, making the Kasey Redfern injury "meaningful".

Some others:
Malcolm Smith - SF LB
Denzel Perryman - LAC LB (might return)
Sebastian Janikowski - OAK K
Trent Murphy - WAS DE
Shane Ray - DEN LB
Edwin Jackson - IND LB
Mychal Rivera - JAX TE

There was a time where all internet sites provided RSS "Real Simple Syndication" for news readers .. meaning you could collect news sources and have it filter into one place into a reader ... on mobile phones like flipboard is an example ..

More and more sites though are not really providing a RSS but some still do, its just a nice way to keep current on a collection of sites as they update with articles ..

Like most of SBNation team sites have RSS, most major newspapers, official team sites (but not all) .. an example of RSS programs is QuiteRSS, I use this one because I'm able to create folders and organize the feeds ..

example of SBNation for a team, most of SBNation sites also have a podcast, some are better than others, and it is not wise to try to include everything in a feeder like this because you will get buried in news .. so have to narrow it down to quality reporting, also major newspapers can be annoying because you only get so many "free" views .. so setting it all up can take a lot of time ..

here is SB for 49ers:
https://www.ninersnation.com/

They also have a podcast, Better Rivals .. which is really good, in the off season they do "scheme" month which is pretty fantastic..
