TJ Ward to the Bucs... what's up with Tampa's safeties??

So this relegates Tandy to a backup, and means that Evans is definitely nothing more than a future stash for Tampa, correct?

I see Ward on the strong side and Tandy being the free guy

As a Tampa fan I agree with this.

I don't like it for his value with that front 7.

I think he will be fine. Mcdougle is average and was a top 12 S in tampa last year, with that front 7. Ward is better than McDougle. In fact, I think Tandy will be a solid start as well. If you combine Conte's starting numbers last year and Tandy's, you have another top 12 S produced by Tampa. Tandy took Cont's place once he got injured, I think Ward has top 10 upside while Tandy has a top 24 season.

I agree with this. Tampa seems to use their safeties interchangeably, and not dedicate one in the box and the other deep. I can see both Tandy & Ward putting up startable numbers. Tandy isn't flashy, but he seems to always be around the ball.

Plus the coaching staff loves his work ethic and game prep - they said its like having another coach on the field...again, coach speak, but it's positive news for Tandy anyway

The real question is will they play this week?
