It's not unusual for a TE to take anywhere from 2-3 years, if not longer, to finally breakout. Look at guys like Kelce and Ertz. I think if you were high on OJ prior to the season, I don't see why you shouldn't be after this year. I'm not sure if the breakout will come next year, but I completely expect it to happen at some point.

Brate is a RFA in 2018 so I really hope he signs somewhere else and they let Howard take over the TE1 role. If Brate re-signed for a multi-year deal, I'm going to be WAY down on OJ heading in to 2018.
