Rodgers or Ryan?

Postby SoShady » Thu Aug 24, 2017 8:30 am

Got sucked into a league that was supposed to be a dynasty by now. But they keep dragging it out into a minimal keeper with draft rounds given up for the keepers. We can keep 8 players currently at draft value. I would give up my 2nd round pick to keep Rodgers. While I can keep Ryan for my 10th round pick. Do you trust Ryan enough with a new OC to put up elite numbers over Rodgers? These are my other keeps.

M Evans - 1st
M Thomas - 8th
D Johnson - 9th
J Howard - FA
A Robinson - 4th
H Henry - 12th
D Henry - 5th

A Rodgers - 2nd
M Ryan - 10th

Have to go Ryan just because of you getting a 2nd round pick.. That is dependent on the guys that are being kept and who would be there obviously.

I'd go Ryan based on draft value alone. Assuming your scoring is standard for QBs the combination of Ryan + your 2nd round pick should easily outscore Rogers + your 10th pick.

Can you make trades with your keepers? Someone lacking at QB could give up some good value for Rodgers.

You'll keep Ryan, the commish will draft Rodgers, and the league will convert to a Dynasty format in 2018.

If the league is going to convert, set a date and do it. He's hamstringing teams by dragging this out, and not allowing people to prepare their rosters for a change that seems likely to be made at some point.

I see the logic in holding Ryan over Rodgers based on draft cost. But I do think it's a substantial step down production-wise. If you elect to hold Ryan, I hope you hit on whomever you select in the 2nd round.
