2 win now trade offers

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

2 win now trade offers

Postby hockeyBjj » Thu Jun 29, 2017 9:20 am

Team is in description, first question is should I even entertain these types of traded with my team in a 10 teamer? I had a monster 2017 draft (Davis, Cook, Mixon) and if those three perform later in the season, I feel I may have a chance to win it all if I can make it to playoffs while they're still green and not getting touches yet. Is that an accurate thought or no?

Anyways, the offers are a 2018 2nd for Pierre Garcon from the guy that won our league the last three years

Other offer is me getting Marahawn Lynch for Jordan Mathews, phi, wr but he's sounding like he wants another of my depth WRs as well and getting cold feet about the deal as a whole now

What are your thoughts on either offer with my team right now? Lynch for Mathews seems instant accept if we do agree on the offer to me, not sure about say Matthews and Taylor Gabriel but maybe I'm wrong

If you have a team that has won the league the last 3 years it means he is STACKED.. With that being said I would just hold tight and keep your players and see what Cook, Mixon, and Davis turn out to be.. Your squad is very young so waiting on those guys wont hurt your chances to compete.

If you're looking at moving guys though JMatt, Gio, and Gabriel would be the ones I would look to trade. Package some of them plus maybe even your 2018 2nd to get another RB or use JMatt + Ajayi to upgrade to a Howard would be a HUGE win if you could do it.

I am low on JMatt, but even I would not trade him for Lynch either btw so dont think its a slam dunk trade or instant accept like you do.

you're team is set up for the next few years but i probably wouldn't trade Garcon for a (likely) late second. However, i'd do the Lynch trade for Matthews straight up.

Pass on Garcon. I'd rather have the 2nd.
The second offer is terrible. I would need Lynch and a late 1st to move Matthews and I'm not even that high on him.

Easy pass on both offers, but especially that Marshawn deal. Lynch used to be a dominant back and people are still accounting for that in his price. The reality is he is over 30, hasn't played in 2 years, is with a new team and won't be around for long. Matthews on the other hand, while he hasn't lit the world on fire, is so underrated. He is a solid WR2 who has averaged 900yds/6tds since entering the league and is only 25. Lynch will be lucky to have a stat line like that this year, never mind in two or three years.

Pass on both. Matthews for Lynch is really bad value. There is a time when sacrificing value for a championship run makes sense, but it's not in the offseason. There's no guarantee that Lynch returns to form, and certainly no guarantee that he holds up the entire season.

Thanks for the advice guys. I wasn't a big fan of giving up a 2nd for Garcon, but apparently I was selling short my own guy because he was too frustrating to ever start in the lineup last year and let me down whenever he had the chance

I would trade mathews for Lynch...your wr 5 for what would be an upgrade at RB2 and buy your rookies time to shake out.....yes lynch is old and is only 1-2 years but i dont see a difference in your other Wr's to fill in...so give me the short term asset ....I see lynch at 750 yarda and 8-10 td's....so a solid rb2
