I believe Forte, even though hes on a bad team, even though hes been worked his whole career, even though hes old. I believe Forte will gave a top 20 year in ppr leagues.

Hes the only guy on the roster who knows how to score, he has veteran experience to cut down on simple mistakes. he will grinde to get the 2 extra yards and keep the drive moving. i can see him being that guy who gets checked down to, 3-5 times a game with opportunitie for more.

If he stays healthy enough, he should get consistent work. i see him being very undervalued in the since of Frank Gork.

Hes for sure a guy that wont help you long term this year; but, for a team in need of a short term replacement, hes a guy id trust. If your lucky maybe trade him to a contender who may slightly over pay at the Trade Deadline.

Thoughts?

btw im tipsy and just wanted to rant!!

Enjoy!

I don't think top 20 is out of the question if he stays healthy. He was back number 20 in my league last year and missed the last 2 games so if he plays all 16 games then he definitely has a shot. I do not, however, see him cracking the top 15 at all

I agree, top 15 will be tough.

It's possible, but I'm not sure I'd bet on it.

I'd temper anything past this season. I have feeling he will retire in 18.

I think the recent news that he may be "the guy" this season is the perfect time to sell. He is certainly capable of a top 20 season and if he gets 250 touches he will definitely do it but with Powell performing so well
Last year and the youth movement it seems more likely he's in a 50/50 timeshare and looking at more like 10 carries and 2 rec per game. Not sure 1000 YFS 30 rec and 5 TDs (about where I'd project him assuming he and Powell both stay healthy) will be quite good enough for top 20 but will probably be pretty close.

Someone just offered me a 2018 2 for him. I've gotta
accept right?

No one is biting at him in my league, but im willing to hold to see when the Powell owner come knocking lol.

Depends, if you think that will be the best offer you get then yea, id still hold and wait for a team that gets hit with an injury bug and needs a RB lol.

Nah, I'd say the chances are slim to none of that happening.

Powell looked better than him last year and the offense will likely manage to be even worse (fewer running lanes and fewer scoring opps). I mean, from the outside looking in, it kind of appears like the Jets are already tanking the season.

Forte is clearly in decline. I'd say he's more likely to finish outside the top 40 than inside the top 20. The cliff is coming for him!

He's not going to have anywhere to run when the Jets backfield is the only thing that defenses need to focus on. Even though his salary is fully guaranteed apparently, the Jets should just let him go to play for another team so he doesn't have to spend the twilight of his career on a team tanking for the 1.01.
