I don’t know what to think of him anymore as I didn’t watch the Ravens at all. A couple years ago I was a huge fan and thought he was vastly undervalued...created a thread about undervalued players with him as the opening subject. I know he had pretty high end talent still at that stage of his career. To those who watched a lot of Ravens...has he slowed down? Gotten timid? Another injury plagued year? Or was it just a horrible connection with Flacco?

I certainly was hoping for more production from him this year, but I want to say he had a shoulder injury for part of the year. Also, Flacco is his QB and Collins was competent this year so the realistic ceiling was fairly low in the best of circumstances. As an owner, maybe I'm not the most objective, but he's certainly not someone I'd cut. 800/6 type of season is easily in reach. Fine for bye weeks as depth if he avoids injury. Has shown the ability to produce. If he's cut his situation has a good chance of improving by default.

YES. Seriously, all of the above. Flacco was so bad, and a lot of the "targets" were not catchable balls, but Maclin himself didn't seem explosive. He also wasn't used in a way that would take advantage of his speed - now, whether that's bad playcalling or because his speed wasn't on tap? Who knows...

As others have said tho, he's definitely not a cut. Maybe not much of a "buy" low, but not a cut yet.

For what it's worth, I always admire a well thought out "sticking out my neck for this player" post. Even when it doesn't work out.

For those that say Maclin is a cut, you play in way too shallow leagues. Not saying he is a world beater, but put him on the Raiders, Cards, Colts next year and I think he can be a sneaky WR3 easily.

Where would we be if no one stuck their neck out for players they like? We'd all blindly follow the same rankings and no separation would develop. To anyone interested...here was my failed prediction/defense of Maclin from a couple years ago. If nothing else, it's a good summary of his career to that point.

The lack of league depth for context always frustrates me when it comes to these kinds of stances.
