So based on a lot of talk I am hearing as of this morning it would be Cleveland selecting Trubisky at #1 overall. While I believe he is the top QB in this draft and do want him in Cleveland, it is a mistake to take him at #1 - reason being that it means not getting Myles Garrett. If I had to prioritize the needs for them, it is both the QB and pass rush and they should be able to either get Trubisky by trading up from 12 or remaining at 12 and taking Watson (though this is less appealing). This would be a fantastic draft if they could come away with both but I am less excited about taking Trubisky at #1 with then the unknown of who they take at #12.

Maybe Warren Sapp got in their head and they figure Trubisky+Barnett > Garnett+Watson (who might not even be available or would cost picks to move up for)?

Rarely a good thing when an owner wants to override the guys he paid to make these decisions. I can't think of an instance where that worked out.

I would be the same as you on this, if I were a Browns fan. I would want Garrett. The scenario that I would like and I think could happen which would be great for the Browns and their fans would be, take Garrett and then trade back up from 12 to the Titans at 5, to get Trubisky but of course, you have teams like the 49ers rumored to be taking him too, so there's that.

Yep...when Cook and Mixon are still around on Friday think landing McCaffery at 5 is destroying all my pre-draft wrangling. I made a few moves to land picks at 4-6 in hopes I could sneak away with him but seems more unlikely by the day.
Traded 1.04/Frank Clark DE in one 16tm full IDP league for Watkins/2.04 though so bailed on one spot I MAY have had a shot...still rather have Watkins

I completely agree. The only QB I consider taking round 1 is Watson. He is a proven winner and has played against a bunch of NFL talent, where as Mitch has 13 starts to his name.
