Kevin White vs Laquan Treadwell

I recently traded Treadwell for White straight up.

I didn't draft Treadwell last year, but actually drafted White the year before. After White went down last year, I traded him for Tevin Coleman as I needed rb help. Then when I was eliminated from playoff contention, I traded Robert Kelly for Treadwell, who has now been traded 3 times in my league. I got an offer in my inbox from the original Treadwell owner for K. White this weekend. I accepted right away, especially with Alshons moving on.

I know there are alot of threads about these 2 wr's. However I searched and couldn't find a comparison of the 2. I'm on the White side still, and I am a huge Viking's fan

Honestly I love this deal. Both have obviously "disappointed" so far, but give me the guy with better athletisicm, better draft pedigree, & MUCH better situation - not to mention the guy who hasn't really had the chance to prove anything yet.

In this context, I'd much rather take a stab on the inury prone guy over the guy who wasn't smart enough or good enough to even get on the field.

I'll agree with Lukky on all of that. I own two shares of White and wouldn't sell him for Treadwell plus.

I agree on the White side. I would have made that deal all day. The hope here is that White had some bad luck and is not cursed because he had what it took to get on the field.

I'm on board with White here too, for the same reasons mentioned above. I was in this corner before Treadwell's rookie season as well. Am surprised the responses are so one sided thus far though to be honest.

This is a tough one but I would lean towards the Treadwell side. He only has 1 year in the league and managed to stay healthy, at some point he will be given the shot based on the vikings spending a 1st round pick on him. Look at the age also, Treadwell is I believe 21 or 22 years old and has a much better QB situation.

I own White in 2 leagues and just traded my only share of Treadwell. Give me White.

I guess I might lean towards white, but they're both pretty similar. Neither has done anything yet. Treadwell is much younger but has more competition in front of him.

I think White has more value, but if it's someone I'm looking to keep I'll take Treadwell. Neither has shown much in the league and Treadwell is 3 years younger, only has a year in the league, and doesn't have the injury problems.

I own a share of White on a team that was handed down to me, and I'm excited to see what he does this year with my first dynasty team. Treadwell has some other quality guys around him (Diggs and Thielen) whom he wasn't even close to beating out last year, and a veteran QB who clearly leans on those other options already. While I'm not singing any praises for Glennon or Trubisky, White should be their go to guy there, and especially if Trubisky steps in, he's going to need a go-to guy. Meredith is around, and he was decent last year, but there's a reason White was the 7th overall pick a couple years ago. I'm not saying White is going to be the next top tier WR1, but I think his ceiling, and even his floor/consistency, will be much higher than Treadwell's.

They are both unknowns, but White is going to be the week 1 starting WR for his team. Treadwell will be fighting for WR3 duties with Michael Floyd, since Diggs is the clear WR1 and they didn't give Thielen that contract to ride the pine. Plus, as an additional tie breaker, White was 7th overall and Treadwell was in the 20's, I think.

For those of you that are unaware, Treadwell was injured constantly last season. Ankle and hamstring injuries held him back most of the season. There are articles online about his availability week to week. The main reason he didn't go on IR was because they already had AP on IR and they wanted to use the designated to return tag on AP. If they had put Treadwell on IR he would have been done for the season, instead they tried to let him 'ride the bench' on the active roster in order to keep him for the entire season but he never got back to 100% with his ankle.

Obviously he looked bad last year and didn't get any love from the coaches but there's definitely more to the story than what is being told in this thread.

Here's a few articles I posted in a different thread that show when he was injured.

Also - I own zero shares of both White and Treadwell so I'm not trying to talk up anything I currently own to make myself feel better.
