#3 WR Off the Board

Postby GridIronFavre » Mon Jul 19, 2010 2:44 pm

My big redraft league draft is coming up this weekend and when putting together may rankings, I have been debating on who I have ranked as the 3rd WR off the board, which may be a decision I have to make. I have Andre and Moss #'s 1 and 2. So what does everyone think?

Edit: Oops! Forgot to say: It is Non-PPR

The athletic Fitzgerald usually catches anything in the vicinity, and the Cardinals should send quite a few targets his way. I don't think R.Moss should be the 2nd WR off the board, but glad to hear you testify.

I'll be the one to go out on a limb here. I'm voting Calvin. Fitz's numbers will drop IMO with Leinart in town. Wayne will have a solid line. But as much as it pains me to say (as a Vikings fan), I think the Detroit offense is going to be one to watch this season. I like Stafford quite a bit, and obviously Calvin is a stud to toss the rock to. Burleson will be a good WR2 option. They have two good pass catching TE's and a RB that is very explosive. Their defense will allow teams to put up points, causing the offense to open up early and often.
16 team league, non-PPR standard scoring plus bonuses. $200 cap
Schaub ($26/2014), Weeden ($5/2016)
McFadden ($35/2012), Richardson ($8/2018), Goodson ($2/2012), W. Powell ($2/2014), Taiwan ($5/2014) Bryce Brown ($2/2016)
Fitz ($32/2014), Nicks ($12/2012), DJax ($12/2013), Wayne ($12/2012) Collie ($8/2015), Hilton ($3/2014), Streeter ($3/2013), Hixon ($5/2012), Smith (STL $2/2015), B. Tate ($2/2012)
Gresham ($10/2016), Rudolph ($5/2015), Housler ($2/2017), C. Clay ($2/2015), Cooley ($5/2012)
Gostowski ($2/2015)
CAR ($3/2014), CIN ($2/2014)

I voted Fitz. In fact, I'd probably take him #1 WR this year even with Leinart at QB - he's that good.

I just don't trust Fitz with Leinart there - I think they will be running more this season. I voted for Reggie Wayne - I think he is safe at 3rd off the board if he lasts that long - I too wonder about Moss being number 2.

Draft is this afternoon, and I have firmly locked Fitz into the number 3 spot after all of the great opinions and a little research. Thanks!
