Super Bowl

Postby ImaRounder » Mon Jan 02, 2017 5:53 pm

I found it pretty crazy the Falcons are 9-1 odds. I think they are the toughest matchup in the league personally. So clearly I jumped all over them odds! What do you guys think? Good move or not so much?

I'd bet those odds. They are efficient enough on offense to hang in a low-possession game with Dallas and/or a high-possession game with GB.

They were 40-1 preseason and I thought about putting a futures bet in on em. Doh!

I wouldn't do it. I don't trust Matt Ryan even though he probably won the MVP this year

If you want good odds with a team that could win, I would go Giants at 16:1 on Bodog currently. I feel like they have a even better chance of winning over the Falcons, and better odds. Tbh tho, I don't think either of them will win. I would rather go with Pitt at 9:1 for the same odds.

Giants do seem to have a knack for being fairly decent but pulling it off. Last time i bet was when I was confident the Seahawks would break under the high-flying broncos. Lost every single bet made. As a 49ers fan that hurt bad.

9-1 odds this early on means that they are a heavy favorite. It may sound like long odds but it's not. Tons of football yet to play.

Futures are hard to hit, usually sucker bets. Though I sure can be a sucker for action. I did hit the Ravens a few years ago when they were about 40-1.

I liked to play futures only in mid-season, when the best teams were struggling. Think what you could've gotten GB at, or even NYG if that's who you liked. Obviously there was no "buying window" for NE, but it's still better to buy then, as opposed to now.

For sure. I never do futures at this juncture, better off doing an open parlay and bet the money line or just bet each game.

Thoughts on over/under 47.5 if it ends up being NE vs DAL?
