This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Bell for Evans and Yeldon

Postby Roach1972 » Fri Nov 04, 2016 1:32 pm

I've been offered Mike Evans and Yeldon for LeVeon in Dynasty PPR. I'm definitely in the hunt this year. Is this a win for my team moving long term?

I personally would've hit accept as I was typing out the question. Mike Evans alone has more value than Bell and you're also getting a RB in Yeldon who catches passes.

You're getting an elite WR who is only 23 and in the middle of breakout season, plus Winston constantly peppers him with endless targets. Bell is as great as they come, especially in PPR, but you also have Forte, Hyde and Hill, which is pretty solid depth. Hyde and Hill are both young and it's a lot easier to find or trade for a RB than to get one of the top 5 overall most valued players.

BMarsh is getting old, Dez has injury issues, Shep is still young and Crabbs has been great this year, but Evans will provide you with instant stability at WR now and moving forward. By the end of the year, or arguably even right now, Evans is arguably a top 2 asset and if you can acquire him without having to move an elite WR in return, I think it's a no brainer.

You still have plenty of pieces to move if you really wanted another RB, but your team will already be set and maybe with the Jags new OC, Yeldon could start seeing more touches and especially more catches.

Tell Bell you've appreciated everything that he has doen for you and wish him the best, but do the trade ASAP

Yes, Evans is a stud and will be your WR1 for years to come. Your rbs can take the hit. Long term with Forte's age you'll want to grab another one in the draft.

Also piling on. Any chance to get out from under Bell's mounting injury/suspension history for a reasonable offer should be considered. This offer is more than reasonable for Evans side.

Thanks for all the advice. I want to make this trade. However, the owner wants the deal done now instead of after the games this weekend (which is understandable). The downside is that I can't use Evans this week now that he's played, plus he might not be through the concussion protocol by week 10.

Because of byes, etc., if I make this trade I have to drop my TE for this week and play it empty. I also downgrade Bell to Yeldon as my other backups are either injured or on bye.

So I take a big hit in this week's matchup and risk missing Evans in week 10. Given that I have a solid chance to win this year, is the long-term payoff worth the increased risk of losing the is week (and possibly next) or should I take my chances and hope for a little luck this week and that Evans is at least ready for Week 11?

Thanks!

I own Bell and Evans in one league so know how fun it is to own both of these guys but this would be an easy accept for me. Gimme the young stud WR every day, as much as I love Bell.

just the opposite for me. Traded Evans away for Bell. not my favorite trade, but it has helped my team improve from last year.

to me they're about even, (Bell and Evans) so, getting yeldon thrown in would probably be an easy accept for me.

Update: the trade was made. Thanks for all the advice. It was helpful in pushing me to do what I thought was a good move. Might have a short term pain but the long term is a plus.

I'm gonna miss having Bell on my RB squad I have to admit.
