The only thing I can think of to say is that Bortles could possibly be replaced after this year. Brock has at least one more full year because of the mega deal.

In that way, I'd lean toward Robinson.

For this yea only, Hopkins strength of schedule is ridiculously easy going forward. DET, OAK, SD, GB, with JAX twice (Jalen Ramsey), A matchup against Davis at IND, and a sometimes tough CIN team.

JAX is at DET once and then has eight games against straight savages vs WRs!

If you're in a trade heavy league, then let Hopkins go big for several weeks (you hope) and then try to move him based on name and recency bias. If you're the Arob owner, just pray. :boohoo: :boohoo: :boohoo:

This is too much of a redraft league mindset imo. For dynasty, I don't see how anyone could side with ARob. Hopkins is the better WR and both are in bad situations, so you have to go with talent alone. And the Texans are a better offense even with Brock sucking. Hopkins easily for me

It is easy to forget how talented Hopkins is the way the Texans are playing, but he is still a top-10 wr talent in the league. Arguably the best hands in the league. ARob is outrageously athletic, but I still think this is Hop pretty handily.

Yup. If I'm in a total rebuild, and I had to pick a WR who I couldn't trade, I HAD to build around one guy, I would rank them:

Evans, OBJ, Julio, Hopkins, AJG, Cooper and then everyone else I think.

I believe Robinson is the better WR.

Robinson is open. Bortles is missing him due to shoddy mechanics>poor accuracy. Get a different QB in there, or see growth from Bortles, and the fantasy points will come even if the number of targets stay flat.
Hopkins on the other hand is covered. He isn't separating from coverage. Whether it's Brock or someone else in a few years, Hopkins will be a contested catch guy and prone to hot and cold streaks tied to volume of targets.

Give me Robinson today and tomorrow moving forward.

I wanted to bump this up.

I have Hopkins, but came away from this year really worried. I feel like he has proven himself to be an elite or all-pro talent at WR in the past few years, and he was able to produce no matter who they put in at QB. Made me think Brock was the problem. Watched some of his games though, and it's not like he's running around wide open and Brock just misses him. It doesn't look like he's getting great separation.

ARob has the size/speed you look for, and had a few monster games once they started moving him around the field. I don't have much faith in either QB, but if I had to bet on one to outperform the other I would bet on Bortles.

I think I would move Hopkins for ARob (salary/cost being equal). What do you guys think?

I like Hopkins' talent more. I think his situation is worse, but I think both situations will be up for change within the next 2 years, so I'll side with the talent I like more.

Hopkins has never been able to necessarily gain a lot of seperation...he is a WR who the QB needs to trust and throw into coverage and he just continually could make great contested catches...Reminds me of Alshon in that way...As for me...I would take A-Rob

ARob. But it's very close. We're splitting hairs in my opinion.
