Las Vegas Raiders

It seems like this has an actual chance to become a reality. I live in Vegas and I have to say if this happens I might have to step over to the darkside.

The Cowboys will always be my passion. But I do like to root for a few other teams especially in the AFC. I grew up in Missouri so I like the Chiefs but damn the Vegas Raiders would be sick!

I think it happens. But talk about distractions... living and playing in Vegas would be tough for the unfocused individual.

Welcome to the Black Hole.

;)

I just hope the new stadium has a Black Hole as well.

I would much rather Vegas than the previously rumoured San Antonio.

It's a good thing we have no Manziels or Gordons.

San Antonio? I hadn't heard that. I feel like that would be a stretch...

There would be a black hole here no doubt. With Vegas being a transient city there are fans of a lot of teams but I would say the Raiders and Cowboys are 1a and 1b

It was talked about a few months ago.

Did a quick google search; here is an article about it.

I remember when I went to Vegas a few years ago - there was an overload of Raiders gear everywhere. Needless to say, my wallet took a beating.

Thanks for the link, I was getting ready to do a search, but you did it for me! I meant it'd be a stretch in that Vegas represents a better market (financially speaking) for the team than San Antonio.

The breakdown of team support by county in that article is uber-interesting. Poor Bills...

Considering we can get pretty cheap flights to Vegas where I'm from it would be nice

Live and breathe Raiders, and it will be heartbreaking to see them leave their spiritual home

That said, if they have to move, it should be somewhere vaguely sleazy. Vegas works. It certainly would be easier to convince friends to fly to Las Vegas to catch a game...

I can't see it. I don't think the owners will let it happen.

Thing is, while they're acting all squeamish on Vegas, they're open about wanting a franchise in London, where you can't go a block without running into a Ladsbrokes or other betting shop.
