I realize this is a bit of a player comparison, but the context of my team is important to take into consideration. Given my team (in sig), is it better to hang onto a high-ceiling guy like Parker or deal him for a known producer in JMatt?
For those who care, here are my thoughts:
- Parker:
- -Has the ceiling to be a WR1, but may be limited by his situation behind a target hog in Landry and an average QB in Tannehill.
- Seems to be a constant "questionable" dealing with chronic injuries, assuming he's not already out.
- When he plays, the kid has proven he can produce.
- Gase has shown his offense can support 2 WRs (Demaryius and Emmanuel).
- - (2) 1,000-yard receiving seasons before the age of 24 with guys like Foles/Bradford at QB.
- Underrated in my opinion, but likely destined to be a high-end WR2 (which isn't necessarily a bad thing).
- Clear #1 option who has shown good chemistry with Wentz.
- Speaking of Wentz, I like what I've seen so far, but will JMatt be limited by the offensive scheme?
